What is the alarm fuse for Saab 95?
There isn't a fuse. On the drivers side wheelwell (you have to remove the rubber cover ) there is a box. Unplug the box and it disables the alarm. In the box is a pair of batteries that you can replace if you are decent at soldering. By replacing the batteries it will allow the alarm to work properly.
Where is the crank sensor on a 1993 Saab 9000 cse?
The CPS is located on the lower left front of the engine, near the transmission and behind the catalytic converter.
Can you install a CD player in a 1998 Saab 900 and take out the in dash cassette player?
The really easy way to do this is to get a 6 disc trunk mounted player if your radio has the CD player controls as well as the cassette - it will have buttons like CD/Radio/Disc to the left side.
If it does just get a player from a wrecked car -with the mounting brackets for sure - and put it in since the wiring is already run to the back of the car on the left side up behind the side panel. this lets you keep the radio in place and get the CD player.
Pretty easy - I just did it to my 1997 900SE last week
What does Saab vehicle stand for?
Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolaget, or Swedish aeroplain company limited as Saab was origonally an Aeroplain company (and still is under separate ownership). The modern Saab car company is called Saab Automobiles AB though

1987 Saab 900 breaks and calipers?
Like all cars, Saab 900s have brakes. The calipers are part of the braking system. The braking system was basically the same on all Saab 99s and 900s from 1975 to 1987.
What's the question?
Does a 99 9-5 Saab stereo work in a 99 9-3 Saab?
No, two different radios all together..both have to be programmed to car to work but the 93 radio harness will not mate with the 95
The gas tank operates on a vacuum principal and if it's not optimal, then there is a sensor that will activate the check engine light.
How do you replace the alternator belt in a 1991 Saab 900?
Just slightly different than on lesser cars: Saabs have two alternator belts that run in parallel. This belt pair also drives the water pump, so they wanted to be sure you wouldn't get stranded.
But it's pretty easy: your alternator runs on an adjustment track. Loosen both bolts and pivot the alternator so you can get the belts off. Look how they're routed before you remove them. If you have AC the belt for that is blocking in your alternator belts, so loosen the compressor and take it off. Then put the new belts you bought in place, tension the alternator (I stick a broomstick between the alternator and engine, and pry the belts tight), tighten both bolts, tension the AC compressor and tighten it, and you're done.
Is the Saab 93 turbo engine the same as the 9000 turbo engine?
The engine is basically the same B204, B234. E, I, L or R only differ in type off crankshaft pistons and rods, however if you want to interchange you'll have to use the oil sump and timing chain coveras well as all of the loose parts (oil pump, AC compressor, alternator, etc.) of the old engine. Make sure u change the head gasket and bolts!! Just built a Saab 9000 B234L engine into a '99 9-3, upgraded it with a TD04Hl-15t turbo, viggen IC and software to accommodate 290Hp it's been a nerve wrecking job but i can assure you definitely worthwhile.

What oil does a 2004 Saab 9-3 use?
You need to use the most expensive stuff, which is unfortunate on your wallet, but fortunate for your engine. Use Mobil 1 synthetic 0W40. Thats not true. Depending on the milage of the saab, if it's new you can use a synthetic blend or full conventional (if your the risky type), and if it's over 50,000 miles use full synthetic or a synthetic blend with additives that help protect against sludge, which is a big problem with saabs.
How do you prograre your Saab 93 key fob?
you can't do it yourself as it needs either a special computer interface or special software, so this is a dealer operation. IIRC it cost me about $50 at a dealer to program in a new fob, IF YOU HAVE AT LEAST ONE ALREADY! If all key fobs have been lost, there is no way the dealer can discover the code or sync a new one up...that means they have to replace the computer that controls this, at a cost of about $1000, yes, a grand...that's what I have been told.
If you DO intend to have a dealer program an additional one (that you are supplying), take some time to read through the manuals, as there are many other options that can be changed at the same time. I had the dealer disable my 'daytime running lights'...also they can change what noises the horn makes when you lock with the fob, etc.
BE CAREFUL locking your car with the fob! It sets an alarm, that remains set even if you unlock with a key. If it's locked with the fob it must be unlocked with the fob or the alarm will sound...at least that's how it was on my 95 900s
Where could a person buy a Saab 9000 Aero?
It is a shame that the Saab motor company no longer makes cars. Its cars were just a bit different and stood out from the crowd. One might find a 9000 Aero to buy on the Saab Scene website or Auto Trader.
Are Saab 93 convertable good cars?
I had a 95 SAAB turbo convertible, the predecessor to the 93. Looked almost identical but there were about 2000 different engineering changes between the 900SE and the 93. My 900SE turbo convertible was GREAT fun to drive. Top sealed completely, no leaks. Good shifter. Lots of power. HOWEVER, SAABs are very expensive to be repaired at dealers, and are uncommon enough there aren't a lot of independent shops that know how to deal with their quirks when things go wrong. I sold mine with 135,000 miles...it was still running strong, but was going to need a clutch within 15,000 miles, and the dealer estimated over $2000 for a clutch job. SAABs are great while they work. And are expen$ive when they break.
Should you buy a 320d or Saab 9-3 TTiD?
You should definitely buy the Saab 9-3 TTiD over the 320d as it is rubbish. the Saab is much more reliable believe it or not!! anyway if you are to by a BMW it would have to be the330d much more reliable and not as much as you think more to run plus the fact it has much more refined power the the following:
Toyota Avensis
BMW 320
I have owned the following:
Saab 9-3 TTiD (nice cream leather very confortable)
Toyota Avensis ( horrible never again )
330d (nice refined power there when you need it)
320d( horrible never again )
mondeo titanium X sport (nice red stitching)
by far the worst was the avensis and then the 320d
By far the best listed (best first)
Saab
Ford
330d
Why the tcs on my saab 95 year 2000 is not working?
The tcs on your saab 95 year 2000 is not working because it is faulty.
How do you change the front head light bulb on your 2002 Saab 9-3?
If you will start this project by looking at the electrical connector with an inspection mirror first, you will save yourself some real headaches. There is a single wire finger that needs to be moved out of the way, basic needle nose pliers will do it easy. Once you move this wire, an easy twist and the lamp assembly will practically fall out in your hand. Before you remove the lamp, look at how it is oriented, because it needs to go back in the same way. There are some lugs that should prevent you from installing it incorrectly, but I've seen some people try to 'force' the lamp to fit and twist back into place, and it won't. If you go ahead and jamb it in wrong, then it will not ground properly and the center point of the lamp is in the wrong place, so this headlamp will not seem to work just right,,, but you won't know why. It's 'on' but not like it used to be.
people who know what they are doing. they are safe and reliable!
The Saab 9-7X was made in the US by GM and the new Saab 9-4X is made in Mexico by GM but is designed by Saab in Sweden. Saabs 9-3 and 9-5 (not SUV) are made in Sweden.
