How do you fix right front dipped beam failure on a Saab 9-3?
As you probably know, it is not as easy as just replacing the bulb. Surprisingly complex! I decided the easiest option was to bring it to the dealer and for £10 they replace it.
I find that the right dipped beam keeps failing every 3 to 4 months, which is very annoying. Maybe it is just this car, but I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem...

The NG900 SAAB 900 Turbo SEs (1994-1998) Did not have MAF sensors. It has a MAP sensor which is mounted on the engine crossmember. It cannot be cleaned, only replaced.

What can you tell you about Saab rear caliper replacement should you try it?
It really depends on the year and model as the braking systems are different on different models, and sometimes change over the course of the model. However, since Saabs are Front Wheel Drive, a rear caliper is easier to replace than the fronts. Remove the brake line and parking brake cable (if there is one). Remove the old caliper and install the new one. Re-install the brake line and parking brake pieces. Bleed the brakes.

Inside the trunk on the right and left sides, there are two pull down doors in the carpet liner. Simply pull the tab down to reveal the back of the turn signal, reverse and brake light assembly. In the center there are tabs that when squeezed and pulled straight back, release the assembly and allow access to all 3 bulbs. Changing them is just a matter of pressing the bulb in gently and turning it counter-clockwise. Replace everything in reverse order and you're done.

How can you disable the immobilizer on Saab 93 yr 2000?
Well you really can't on your car. All they keys are programmed in to what's called the dice unit, which is in turn spider webbed into the rest of the cars systems. The dice unit would need to be bypassed/flashed and after market parts to duplicate/repeated a key signal would be needed. And that would just be the electronics side. Have a licensed/bonded/insured saab specialist in your are re-key and program the dice .
~Warning~ 99% of people out side a deal who claim they can flash the ecm or reprogram the dice etc can not. To do it right where it won't trash that very temperamental saab. Its 1000s in tools and software you can't even find stateside, takes hours of trial and error ( unless you a dealer )and for every one I have done I have cooked/bricked at least two.

Can you install a CD player in a 1998 Saab 900 and take out the in dash cassette player?
The really easy way to do this is to get a 6 disc trunk mounted player if your radio has the CD player controls as well as the cassette - it will have buttons like CD/Radio/Disc to the left side.
If it does just get a player from a wrecked car -with the mounting brackets for sure - and put it in since the wiring is already run to the back of the car on the left side up behind the side panel. this lets you keep the radio in place and get the CD player.
Pretty easy - I just did it to my 1997 900SE last week
