Why can't people believe things that they don't see?

If you are referring to the Discovery Channel special that explored the "history" of dragons, giving detailed descriptions of their daily habits, then you will be disappointed to discover that the series was not factual. Several times during its running, a message was sent out that the documentary was not fact, but fiction; an intriguing fiction, but fiction nonetheless.

If you are not referring to the aforementioned special, then there is very little evidence pointing to the existence of dragons. There are legends, yes, and these legends exist in some form or another in almost every human culture; however, you must keep in mind that human beings tend to be very fearful of that which they do not understand, and tend to use their imaginations to give their fear form. That this fear should take the form of an enormous flying lizard, something distinctly non-human, is not entirely surprising.

AnswerYes, that fact that a huge flying lizard is nearly impossible to believe. Humans don't want to believe in it because they are scared and therefore if they start to belieive in it it'll cause panic and chaos. I believe in dragons, some people do and most don't, but you shouldn't let people's fears get in the way. They believe what they want to, you believe in what YOU want to. If someone came up to you, a complete stranger, you would be cautious of them because you don't them, you're not familiar with them so you would be scared if they strated to become involed in your life. if you didn't know them that well you won't want to believe in it. Same with hese people who don't believe in dragons. If you see my point. Happy to help.

Does Santa Claus fly on a sleigh?

Santa goes where it's Christmas Eve first in the world, then flys in a counter clockwise, southerly direction. Some people think that he does Siberia and the places nearest to the North Pole first, and some people think it's the Chatham Islands off the coast of New Zealand where he starts. One thing you might try is following NORAD. They track Santa every Christmas, and give updates of where he is.

How did Santa Claus come up with the reindeer names?

The poet Clement Moore came up with most of the popular elements of the Santa Claus myth, including the names of the Reindeer, originally 8 and having Germanic-scandinavian sounding names for the most part. Rudolph did not join the team until the song was composed in the late thirties or maybe during the war by an ad-copyrighter for Montgomery ward- who produced the Rudolph tale originally in comic-book form- the song was credited to Johnny Marks spelled Marks -not Marx which was a big-league toy manufacturer years back- I"m magic marxie bringing fun, Marx makes more toys than anyone!-went the jingle on TV. No longer around.

Do Santa's reindeer die?

Santa might die if we stop in believe in him. he's like 1 billion years old.

As long as one person remembers him or even just reads about him in a book then he is in no danger at all. Besides, he has a great network of Secret Agents to help him. Who Knows? There may be one living on your street!

How do you spell the names of Santa's reindeer?

The usual listing is that given in the poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas". In the poem, Santa exhorts eight reindeer by name, the list being:Now Dasher! Now Dancer! Now Prancer and Vixen!

On Comet! On Cupid! On Donner and Blitzen!

I don't know why Moore (the poem's author) chose those specific names, but choose them he did, and they've been traditional since.

(Donner and Blitzen are Germanic names meaning respectively "Thunder" and "Lightning", if you've ever wondered.)

The most popular addition to the canon came in 1939, when Robert May came up with a coloring book for Sears to give away entitled "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer." Since then, Rudolph is usually listed as the "ninth reindeer" (or first, since he supposedly occupies the lead position).

How does mrs Claus make cookies?

The recipes for all the really good cookies were written down from our grandmother's great-grandmothers and their mothers and so on. The elves wrote the recipes into big books that Mrs. Claus could use. And every year, Mrs. Claus teaches new moms around the world how to bake all the special Christmas cookies. So each year, the traditions get passed on from one family to another. Of course, Mrs. Claus uses more than one oven--- she has a whole room of ovens and elf-bakers to help her.

What soft drink brand was the first to use Santa Claus in advertising?

Did Coca-Cola create the modern image of Santa Claus?

No, Santa’s image in the American imagination goes back way further than Coca-Cola’s iconic Christmas ads.

Santa Claus came over to the United States with Dutch immigrants in the late 1700s. Although his image was constantly evolving, there are definitely instances of Santa depicted as a rotund, red-coat-wearing man with a long white beard that far predate Coke’s use of that image. The cola company started using Santa in its ads in the 1920s, and its most iconic representation comes from Haddon Sundblom’s hand-painted illustrations, which he did every Christmas season from 1931 to 1964.

This version of Santa was based heavily on Clement Clark Moore's 1822 poem "A Visit From St. Nicholas" (also known as "'Twas the Night Before Christmas"). Although Moore probably cribbed from other sources, his poem is thought to be mainly responsible for our modern idea of Santa as a jolly old elf.

Much credit also goes to political cartoonist Thomas Nast—he depicted Santa Claus in a variety of ways in the late 19th century and served as a major inspiration for Sundblom’s paintings.

So, no, it’s not accurate to say Coca-Cola “invented” our modern idea of Santa Claus, but it did help popularize that image.

What snacks does Santa like?

Santa loves cookies with milk! So if your wanting to leave him a little treat for next Christmas, I strongly recommend cookies. He has to have the milk though, because without it, it won't make the cookies quite so delicious. :)

If your worried about what kind of cookies to make for him, don't worry, just make whatever kind of cookies you like because he loves them all!

Did Coca-Cola Advert Change Santas Suit?

Coke has always been brown. Caramel was originally used for coloring, and though the (secret) formula has changed over the years, caramel, which imparts the brown color we know, is still used to give the cola its appearance.

There is currently an urban legend stating Coca-Cola's color was originally green, and this is incorrect. The company at one time used green bottles, and thus the idea was started. The product has always had its standard brown color.
Not green...probably brown.

Does coca cola own the rights to santas colour choice?

No, coca cola does not own the rights to the the red and white santa clause we all recognise.

It is speculated though, that many years ago St. Nicks colours were green and gold.

It was only after a famous coca cola christams ad campange, involving a train load of coke arriving on Christmas eve, did his colours begin to change.

This change is seldom noticed, and forms a general connection between sata and coca cola, a very clever tactic indeed.

How does santa make the presents?

Santa doesn't make the toys. The elves do.

Santa receives letters from all over the world. The elves help Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause read all the letters, plus they go over Santa's own list of knowledge about what all the children want for Christmas.

They start early at the North Pole in Santa's Workshop. The Elves work very hard and make all the toys with care. And Santa picks one area to work everyday-- one day he works making dolls, and another day trains, or toy boats, etc. Some days, Santa draws pictures for Christmas Coloring Books, even.

Mrs. Clause sews and knits and crochets all the doll clothes and toys that need fabrics. She makes hats, coats, shirts, pants, socks. Then shoe elves help her make little toy shoes, too! In between her work, Mrs. Santa makes cookies and Christmas goodies.

The elves take turns feeding all the reindeer. And of course, Santa makes sure to visit them every day. The reindeer help Santa plan the route they will take across the earth starting Christmas Eve, so the reindeer are very important in all the planning!

Sleigh Elves take care of the sleigh. They paint the sleigh, then polish it till it shines! They also take care of all the harnesses, and leather reins that the reindeer use to pull the sleigh.

A small group of elves take care of Santa's red sack--- where he carries all the toys. The elves make sure the sack is strong and won't break open or rip. And of course, they make a new sack if that year's toys are too big for the old sack.

Then.... everyone joins in wrapping all the toys. They make bows and put ribbons on every gift-- and a tag that says who the gift goes to.

Santa's Workshop is very organized. It has to be so they can do all the work that must get done before Christmas!

How do you build a quarter pipe?

Building a quarter pipe is very hard. You have to have the right tools and the wood has to be bent just the right way so it doesn't break. It would be easier to order online or go to a sporting goods store that might have one.
