There isn't any. The power steering system is entirely electric. If you peek under the dash on the driver's side to the left of the steering column you'll see a rather large electric motor that does your power steering. Problems with the power steering system will light the Malfunction Indicator Light that's shaped like a car and has a wrench on it.

fuel line runs from the back (tank) to the front under the car to the fuel filter (if you look under the driver side you will see the lines (2) running to the front of the car ) going up to the filter , then to the gas injectors.

The TC designation indicates the presence of a torque convertor clutch on that particular vehicle. This automatic system is intended to improve traction in slippery conditions.

Some GM vehicles have a sealed for life transmission and do not have a dip stick. Also if it is a manual transmission then it has no dipstick.

On the driver side of the vehicle, on the top of the transmission, there's a plastic yellow thing with a picture of a gear with liquid in it (indicating transmission fluid), that's your transmission dipstick. The only other yellow plastic piece that you can see is your oil dipstick. The tranny dipstick is bolted down with a 12 mm bolt that you'll have to remove. After removal of the bolt, just pull the dipstick straight out to check fluid level. The dipstick may be a bit harder to pull out than you imagine, but as long as you took that bolt off, it'll come out.

The transmission that's in your Saturn was not intended to be checked by the owner. The theory is that you'll check your fluid when it's not up to temp, think its low, and add more, overfilling your transmission. However, I think most owners would prefer having a more easily accessible dipstick. Even if it's only to check the color of your tranny fluid. You should also make sure that the fluid doesn't have a burnt odor.

The tranny shouldn't need to have any fluid added to it unless you have a leaking transmission. However, you should have your transmission fluid and filter changed every 50K miles

The motor is not worth fixing. Go to a junkyard and just get a new one

Are you sure it has one. I believe this is one of many GM vehicles not equipped with a transmission fluid dipstick. Instead, it has a fill hole (with a red cap) and a level check hole (accessed from under the vehicle.) There is a procedure that must be followed exactly to correctly set the fluid level. Any leaks should be repaired so that the level need only be checked after replacing the fluid or repairing a leak.

Its not going to be all wheel drive of course, late 05 to 07 vues 2.2 have the t4-45e 4 speed auto. just put one in out of a cobalt after figuring this out, same trans though, I'm stuck with the wiring the o3 has a separate tsb and not sure if one from an 05 to 07 will shift it. the cobalt seams to have two module boxes the 05 to 07 one .and cant find one in a junkyard to match it up. so before you go jammin an 06 cobalt trans in an 03 find a late 05 to 07 vue, will only have to change wheel bearing and get the subframe. Trying to get this done for my Dad who got screwed at a car auction and is suffering brain tumors. I have searched wire diagrams to keep it as simple as possible. The 03 wiring is simple. I don't want to drag module boxes and harnesses home from the yard. I feel like my time is running out in more than one way. If there is anyone out their that can help me i would be very greatful and Thank You.

Removing car door panels is pretty easy. A person just needs to take a screw driver, unscrew and remove any and all screws in the panel.

It is and electric assist system not a hydraulic system like on a normal vehicle. there is no fluid to check

If it is a 4 cyl the filter is on thetop of the engine It is a catridge style located in frt of the oil cap down about six inches Black plastic cap

In the 6 cyl the filter is at the front of the engine. Also, instead of looking for a large wrench or socket, use a 3/8 ratchet instead (if you are faced with a round insert, go with the 24mm socket). It will go right into center of the oil cap.

To drain the oil you will need a T45 STAR socket. I would use one with a 3/8 drive. Number of tools needed. Two.

Also, put a little oil around the O-ring when replacing it. It will help to ensure you don't tear the O-ring.

When answering this question. I know there is no power steering pump. I found a similar answer that said there are 4 plastic linkage things, but doing a browser search provides nothing. Are we talking about tie rod ends? A complete rack and Pinion unit? I appreciate your answers, thank you in advance for taking the time to share your knowledge.

How much transmission to replace new?

It's just inside the chasis under the vehicle on the driver side just in front of the rear wheel. Its silver and about the size of a small can of beans. It's an in line filter, takes about 1/2 to 1 hour to change with fuel line tools. You dont have to have special tools. A pair of needlenose pliers and a small standard screw driver will do. Park it where you dont mind dumping about a half pint of fuel. have a rag and oil pan to catch the fuel and it be under pressure so becareful taking lose. use the rag to keep the spray from getting on you. then pull the hose towards the pan and if you use a clean pan you can pour the fuel into your mower or back in the tank just not the dirt and rust
