How did Darren Shan became famous?
If you mean how the Saga of Darren Shan inspires its readers, I think I can tell you a bit about how it inspired me. :)
I was first introduced to this twelve part series in Grade 6, when my elementary school teacher read the first book to the class as a lunch time story--yeah, kind of unusual!-- reading a book about vampires and Freak show to elementary kids... But I'm glad he did! This series is really more than blood-suckers and weird creatures.
The saga is filled with inspiring characters through which the author discusses some of the most controversial topics of life. For instance, what is the right thing to do? How do you know that what you believe is right isright? Even if it is the right choice is it the best choice?
"...this is a mad world... Because I spared the life of my brother --- who once saved mine --- our greatest enemy has escaped and our people face defeat. What sort of a world is it where evil is born of an act of goodness?" Vancha Harst explored one of the great paradoxes of this puzzling world. Another good quotation: this one is from Harkat "Both fighting for the same reason, both terrified of the ... same thing. Of course, if neither side fought ... both would be safe. Mr. Tiny is playing the creatures of the night for fools, and we're helping him." I found it so true when applied to the wars and disputes in our world.
Having said all that, the most inspiring element is perhaps the way Darren Shan denies destiny and fights to the end. He defeats the evil set by Des Tinyand defeats the evil desire of revenge within himself. The Saga of Darren Shan is such an amazing saga that reveals the power of an individual's free will.
There are a number of accounts of bodies of aliens found intact- so one might have something to go on. one goes back to the period of the American Civil War- l864 as I recall and happened in Latin America. the bodies of two Female humanoids- yes, Girl Exploratrices from- somewhere were found in a cave, inside hollowed out rocks that may have been some sort of camping-like quarters. they were about 39 Inches tall, had metallic space suits- and odd helmets with something akin to snorkels which were breathing apparatus, owing to the odd helmets, they were initially thought to be some sort of animals. once removed, well. a similar case of a deceased Female UFo occupant found in a cave in Mexico lying on a sort of heat shield, also in a metallic space suit. the neighborhood was nicknamed the ( Cave of St. Joan) in Spanish. it stands to reason. I cannot confirme either of these cases, all three victims were female, were about 39 inc hes tall, and were, sadly, dead.

What are some differences between the Old Yeller book and the Old Yeller movie?
The only major difference between the book and the film is that in the book, Mrs. Coates convinces Travis to shoot Old Yeller shortly after the dog fights the wolf and is exposed to rabies (during the incubation period), whereas in the film, Travis insists on waiting until Old Yeller develops symptoms before killing him. In the book Travis and Yeller had not fully recovered from the wounds they received from the hogs. Mrs. Coates and Bud Searcy's daughter Lisbeth had gone to burn the cow carcass and return being chased by the rabid wolf which is kept at bay by Yeller. Travis shoots the wolf as it is about to kill Yeller but in a cruel twist of fate is then forced to kill Yeller because he has been exposed to rabies will eventually become a deadly threat to the family. There is also the minor difference in that Old Yeller is bob-tailed in the book. Whereas, in the movie, he has a long tail that arches over his back (similar to the tails of Arctic sled dogs). Another major difference is that Old Yeller appears as a Lab/Mastiff mix, while in the book he is implied to be a Black Mouth Cur.

Actually, many books are double listed as both science fiction and fantasy. Generally, if there is a dragon, wizard, elf, sorcerer, or dwarf, then it is clearly fantasy.
