You can actually use search engines only online. There are other type of search tools that do off-line "desktop" searches, but they are not referred to as search engines.

A search directory is an online site that helps you find websites on a specific topic. There are very general directories like DMOZ to niche subject directories and local search directories as well.

How does a search engine let you search for information on the web? There are two different kinds of search engines - one is a crawler-based search engine (spider), and the other type is a human-driven directory - and they both gather and create their listings in extremely different ways. Human Driven Directories (e.g. Open Directory) uses humans to build their listings. One submits a short description for a website to the directory or the directory has editors that write a description for sites they review. Crawler Search Engines (e.g. Google) uses spiders (automated software program that "spiders" the content of a website). The spiders go to a web page, read the content there, and follow any links it comes across along the way until it reaches a dead end. The spiders then index the information it gathers in a giant catalog. Spiders will revisit a site every month or two and update any changes that occur on that site. The final aspect of how the search engines work is the search engine software program goes through the millions of web pages recorded in the index and finds a match to a search ranking them in an order based on what that search engine believes to be most relevant.

Hyphen are used for better readability.Hyphens can clarify a domain name that has more than one word in it. But visitors can forget to include them.Also hyphen name are hard to read aloud.It's best to avoid having more than two hyphens in your domain name. It's less trouble for visitors to type and easier to read aloud.It has been suggested that not using spelled-out or roman numerals in domains, as both can be confusing and mistaken for the other.But using many hyphens is not a good idea.It hard to remember too many hyphens to visitor.It is recommended that not to use more 3 hyphens in your URL.For search engines it doesn't matter whether you use hyphen or underscore.

I would also be willing to bet your oil is way too low, since oil starvation is the quickest way to ruin your engine bearings. The motor will probably be quicker and cheaper to replace with a good used one than to rebuild. If you keep driving the car, it will "sling the rod" through the aluminum engine block, sieze up, and leave you stranded somewhere.

Geographic optimization is basically "geo-targeting" a website to it's geographical location. Here's a great example in which I use a Fort Worth sprinkler and lawn company, grasseaters.com. This landscape company only serves the greater fort worth Texas area. If this company was only to target keywords such as "landscaping" "lawn care" etc.. they would not be optimizing geographically, and they would not be getting the full benefit of their location. But, if they found keywords such as "Fort worth landscaping", then they will be geo targeting the correct area. See the website I linked to below for an example of this fort worth landscape company.

* Don't try to optimize every single page of your website rather, optimize individual pages for just one keyword.

* Make sure that the keyword you're optimizing for is relevant to the page's content * Include the keyword in the URL i.e. www.example.com/keyword * Include it in the page Title * Include it in the meta description * Use it as a H1 heading * use it or variations of it a couple of times throughout the copy on the page, especially in the first and last paragraphs and make sure you have at least 300 - 500 words of interesting, relevant copy on that page, * Link to the optimized page from your other pages using the keyword as the anchor text i.e "find out more about example keyword" * Try to find other websites on the internet that will find your pages content useful and ask them to link to it using the keyword as anchor text A word of warning, don't try to spam, trick or upset the search engines in any way as most "blackhat" advice is out of date by the time you find it and will only get you banned!

I know about Google Only.In September of 1998, Google Inc. opened in Menlo Park, California and Google.com, a beta search engine, was answering 10,000 search queries every day.On September 21, 1999, Google officially removed the beta (test status) from its title.

Simple, You have to remove all indexed URLs from the Google data using Web master tools Remove URL option, after 10-15 days your results wont appear in SERP

If one is talking about Google's logo and the images on Google's website than no, they may not be copied because they are copyrighted by Google.

If one is talking about images found in Google image search then also no. These images are all copyrighted by their respective owners. Even if the location where one finds an image does not specify anything about a copyright, it is assumed by law.

A good start would be to dump front page. Use Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe GoLive, or, if you dare, notepad (it would still be better than front page). Then use Google Adsense for search. OK this happened to me so download malwarebytes its a ant-virus software and do a full scan but be careful if you use fire fox or mozzila it will delete it and you wont be able to go on the internet again but its ok if you use internet explorer you can prevent it i think its on protection i dont know the rest but do a full scan it may take a while 2 hours for me and delete all the viruses it had 20 for me you should be good to go
