Rashes sometimes accompany viral infections and fevers, especially in children, and can be an indication that urgent medical examination is needed. Rash can be an early sign of serious infectious disease, both viral and bacterial, such as in bacterial infections with toxic shock syndrome.

Specific viral rashes have names such as chicken pox and rubella (German measles) and are often identified by their characteristic appearance of the rash and other symptoms. However, often the type of rash or other symptoms do not allow that specific a diagnosis to be made. So, the term "non-specific virus" is used to indicate that there have not been laboratory studies or specimens collected to grow (culture) and identify the exact virus causing the symptoms (which have been determined to not likely be characteristic of or typical of known specific viral rashes). These studies are typically not needed or ordered by the physician since the most common viruses to cause rash and cold-like symptoms are treated much the same way even if the specific type of virus involved is known. It is different in the case of bacteria and bacterial infections where the exact organism must be identified to prescribe the proper antibiotic to get rid of the bacteria.

Antibiotics, however, do not work to treat viruses. When no bacteria have been identified and no allergic cause of the rash has been found, then the presumptive working diagnosis is often "non-specific viral infection."

Responding to your addendum to the question on the discussion page asking why contact precautions were given, it is likely that these precautions are to be taken since the specific virus has not been identified, and some viral illnesses that can cause rash can be especially dangerous for children and pregnant women and the developing fetus. German measles, for example can cause harm to the developing baby.

So to get rid of acne follow these directions.

Mix water and baking soda together till it becomes a paste.

then gently massage it on your face for about 30 seconds. Rinse the scrub off thoroughly. This works as an exfoliate which removes dead skin and oil that causes acne. I'd say it does cause it clogs your pores and the pimple just stays there longer and gets red. but if you really wanna wear make up then u have to wash your face really really good for it opens your pores for they arn't cloged :)

That's just plasma. It's like a bonding agent of blood. It contains little platelets that help hold skin together while healing and making newer skin (if it's white then it's pus). Plasma is also the same thing that heals a cut if you skin your knee or get scrached by a cat.

Popping pimples only causes more pimples. It is not safe to pop a pimple with a needle because it may get infected. Put ice on it and then wet paper towel and stick it on alternate and continue. There are a variety of different ways you can stop your feet from sweating. Since there's not room to go through each and every one of them here, I'll just go through the most popular and interesting ones.

I'll start with the easiest thing you can do. Try applying a little antiperspirant to your feet. That's right, the same one that you probably apply already to your underarms. Make sure it says 'antiperspirant' on the label. Apply a thin layer over your whole foot, including the toes, balls of your feet, and everything in between. Do this with clean, dry feet before going to bed. After doing this for a week or two, if you don't notice any changes, start applying twice a day, once in the morning after your shower, and once at night before bed.

The second way you can stop foot sweating is with a simple visit to the doctor. When you tell the doctor you have a problem with foot sweating, they'll likely give you a prescription antiperspirant, like Drysol. These contain aluminum as their active ingredients. Aluminum is used in antiperspirants to plug sweat glands so that sweat doesn't escape. Most over-the-counter antiperspirants contain less than 10% aluminum. Drysol, or some other prescription antiperspirant that your doctor may give you will likely have a much higher concentration of aluminum. Apply as directed.

Another easy thing you can try to stop foot sweating is applying a medicated foot powder, like Gold Bond's, to your feet. Depending on where you live, you can probably find one of these in the grocery store, or a Wal-Mart. You can definitely get some online. Apply the foot powder to clean, dry feet 2-3 times a day, and definitely before bed. This should help.

A third thing that you could do is to get inserts in your shoes that absorb sweat. You can find these online and although they don't actually stop foot sweating, they at least absorb the sweat, and make it less uncomfortable.

These are the three things that I would try first if I were you. But if you do all three of those things, and you're still not able to stop the sweating, there are a variety of other things you can try. There are some people (about 2% of the population) that suffer from a disease known as 'Hyperhidrosis', which is uncontrollable, abnormal sweating.

There are websites and forums made for people with hyperhidrosis, and you may be interested in some of their solutions. One of the most interesting cures for excessive sweating that I've encountered is a mind-body approach. The theory is that sweating excessively is caused by an imbalance somewhere in your nervous system, and that by correcting this imbalance, the sweating disappears.

I have a large fatty mass on my shoulder too,it started out about the size of a quarter now it is much larger.When it was small I went to the doctor and he said because it was free moving it was just a fatty mass but I did not get it removed he said he could have done it in his office, wish I had done it .Now I can not wear anything that shows my shoulders because it looks like I am growing an extra head or that's what I tell people lol.
