How do you get rid of what you think is heat rash on your neck?

I recently developed a skin rash around my neck, which quickly spread to my chest area. I visited the doctor who said it was an allergic reaction, likely from a necklace or piece of jewlery. (Makes sense b/c I had recently purchased a new necklace - not real silver) My skin is naturally super sensitive. He perscribed a steriod cream called ratio-clobetasol (0.05%) Although I'm still SUPER ITCHY :(..the redness and total inflammation has gone done dramatically. Hope this helps - If you're suffering from any kind of rash that lasts longer than a day or 2, definitely go to your doctor!

Can scabies live in a freezer?

Yes, it's recommended that you freeze anything you can overnight (8+hrs). I have put my pillow, sheets, and clothing that I would wear whilst I awaited the perm cream (Rx) to take affect. Then just slept on the couch over the next 36+hrs to avoid coming in contact with the mites again. They cannot live outside the body for any longer, so simply quarantine yourself accordingly while using the freezing method. Scabies can also be gotten rid of by boiling, but that's too much work when you have a freezer :) I steamed my floors with one of those Shark branded floor cleaners daily as well and froze my shoes every night while alternating between pairs until the 36+hrs passed.

What does vitiligo cause?

What Causes Vitiligo.

What causes vitiligo has been known to medical research for about 75 years, and doctors of that time knew how to cure vitiligo without skin treatments of any kind by simple and effective means available to them.

That real medical research on vitiligo was corroborated and expanded upon by four subsequent generations of MD's, and the cause and cure of vitiligo has consequently become crystal clear and medically obvious. That information, which allows a person to cure himself, is not known to the lay public, and is seemingly not known to current medical practitioners who have minimal knowledge of their own profession.

The real and curative medical research on vitiligo done over the last 100 years has been extracted and distilled by an M.D. into a revealing and eye-opening book "Vitiligo: Your Doctor Will Never Cure You, You've GOT to do it yourself" which is exclusively available through.

No PUVA, no oils, no excimer lasers, no immune suppressors, no skin grafts, and no mysterious herbal remedies. What Causes Vitiligo is known, and can be cured through simple, straightforward means available to anyone who wants to cure himself without skin treatments of any kind.

Can humans catch ringworm from dogs and cats?

Unfortunately, yes. Ringworm can transmitted from animal to human and vice versa. When I was a young girl, I actually got it from one of my aunt's cats when I was spending the night. Once you contract ringworm, it stays in your system and you can get random outbreaks of it. It isn't as bad as you may think though. It's just a small reddish spot that itchs. It's not usually noticeable. Usually your doctor can prescibe an ointment for it.

Can you give a girl jock itch?

Jock itch on a man (Trichophyton rubrum) is mildly contagious - it will cause the same infection on women. The rash from jock itch will be red, tan or brown and skin will appear to be dry and cracking, rippling and peeling.

A woman with a yeast infection (Candida albicans) will spread the infection to her sexual partner, about 15% of the time. The fungus that causes a yeast infection will cause a red and wet looking rash.

Condoms are helpful in preventing the spread of either fungus. For either infection, keeping the skin dry and clean is your best defense, Allowing the area to "air out" can be a huge help. After bathing, air dry for as long as you can. Wearing 100% cotton underwear and pants will help the skin stay healthy, in warm or cold weather. Change out of a wet bathing suit or workout clothing as soon as possible.

Once infected by yeast, the use of OTC medication such as Monistat (which comes with a topical anti-itch cream) is equally effective for women or men. Follow the directions on the box, use for the full treatment (3 to 7 days).

The commonly used OTC medications Lamisil, Micatin and Lotrimin are effective in clearing the fungus from jock itch 50% of the time. Use the medication for a full 2 weeks, if needed for a persistent infection, use for 2 more weeks. Some fungal infections require stronger medication such as Nystatin or oral medications such as Flucon available by prescription.

As soon as treatment begins, wash all towels and sheets in hot water and bleach - for 20 minutes, use the second rinse option. Use the hottest, water appropriate with bleach, for clothing. Change any clothing that comes in contact with infected skin with each application of anti-fungal.

How long are scabies contagious after treatment?

Scabies are usually contagious about 40 days before you know you have them. They die within about 10 hours of being treated and are then no longer contagious. They don't like to live on fabric and if they can't find a human they will die off on clothes in about 4 days.

Is it normal for your belly to itch during pregnancy?

Mine itched terribly when I was pregnant. It was from my skin stretching. Get a really good lotion like Eucerin or something with vitamin E and rub it on your belly a couple times a day. It will also help your stretch marks after your baby is born if you continue to use it.

Yes many women experience itching skin while pregnant. I recommend using a lotion with vitamin E or a pure cocoa butter lotion it definitely will help with stretch marks, Although I do not reccommend Palmer's lotions I have found them very dissatisfactory along with many of my other friends who have used them... !!

Take care, stretch marks certainly make your stomach itch, but there is a liver condition that can make your skin itch all over so if that happens go to the doctor.

How do you get rid of ingrown hair on your legs?

Answer

Exfoliate. By exfoliating, you are removing the top layer of skin and it gives the hairs a chance to grow out instead of growing in under that skin. So by scrubbing your legs in the shower each time, you should reduce the numbers of ingrown hairs you get.

Once you get an ingrown hair, use tweezers to gently break the skin above it and either pluck it or let it grow. Try not to cause a scab as this will make the next hair more likely to become ingrown in the same spot.

How do you get rid on blackheads without using any product?

Aztec Indian Healing Clay. 100% Bentoninte. Get it at a natural foods store. Follow the directions, but don't use it too often as it will irritate your skin.

AnswerTry a product like Ponds Pore strips. It's an adhesive paper you moisten, apply to skin and let dry. When you peel it off, the blackheads come with it. They're available at any grocery or drug store, lots of different brands. Answer:Put some Orange peal into a cup of plain yougurt, apply to face and leave it for as long as you can, but remember the longer the beter!!! Then wash with mild soap. It's really simple and easy, plus it smells yummy too!!!

Answer:

Face wash alone is not effective in removing the blackheads since it can not cleanse the stuck skin pores. As such, getting a microdermabrasion cream is more effective since it not only exfoliates the skin from beneath the skin but also promotes the rate of skin rejuvenation.

AnswerPore strips, but those tend to get a little expensive so I actually use glue (nontoxic of course) it acts like pore strip but can remove blackheads. And if you complain it will give you cancer... then look at the ingredients of your other cream products, but it probably won't I've tested it.

Ok, so I have KP and I don't like it obvious. I'm a 13 year old girl and its so hard to be a girly-girl when you have all this stuff on you. Its on the upper parts of my arms and I cant wear short sleeve shirts or cute tank tops. I think I will try the coconut oil stuff but I was wondering when you wear short sleeve shirts, do people usually notice it on you or not? I am 14 and have KP and I wear short sleeve shirts and tank tops all of the time! Not very many people notice it and I have it all over my arms and legs. When people do notice it they ask what it is and I just say I have a skin disease but its not contagious and the person just says oh and doesn't think anything of it. I know what you mean though. It is very annoying.

I am 13 also and I HATE my KP Even on little 5 year old kid asked me once why I had a red rash on my arms. It is awful. BUT... I have been daily moisturizing with Hemp lotion and coconut oil for about a week now and guess what??? The redness and bumps are starting to fade in a lot of areas! If it keeps improving like this, maybe I can wear those camis I bought forever ago! I'm a little of a tomboy, but that makes no difference, every girl wants smooth, beautiful arms! Grrr, Jennifer Richards makes me mad. On Living withKP.com she talks about this wonderful break-through she's had about studying KP and how to get rid of it. "It can be all yours for only $47!"Yeah right. Most 13 year-olds don't have twenty in their pocket! If she really cared about all our poor selves she would let us in on a little more. Anyway, even if it may not work for you, Hemp Lotion (find it at most frug stores) and coconut oil (found at most drug stores and grocery stores) can't hurt you, and it is definitely worth a shot!
