There is NO WHERE better then the Snowy Range! There are great camping spots, the greatest trails and groomed trails just for you! There is "The Widow Maker" which is why every one comes here.

Joseph-Armand Bombardier is only one of hundreds of inventors who have designed machines for traveling across the snow. The first snowmachine patent seems to have been issued in 1927 to Carl. J. Eliason of Sayner, Wisconsin. Bombardier's development in 1958 of the type of sport machine that we know today as a "snowmobile", however, was instrumental in changing life in all regions that get snow. In the Far North, those changes were both rapid and dramatic.

Can you hurt yourself badly while Water skiing?

Water skiing is a reasonably safe sport. Although it is only safe when you are using common sense and abiding by the lake, river and skiing rules such as: when you are in the water you need to put your hand up along with other passengers on the boat to signal to other drivers that there is a person in the water and thay need to be careful and stay away. If you are going fast and you stack the water skiis are designed to come off so as you don't break your legs no matter how tight the skiis are on. As I said it only gets dangerous when you or someone in the boat is drunk or tired and also you should never go skiing after a flood, storm or windy conditions because most often there will be logs, branches, rubbish and other objects in the water. Not only that but you can get hurt when hitting other objects such as a :sandbar, bank, rocks and trees. Overall you can not hurt yourself badely!

How many miles does a snowmobile last?

depends on if its 4 stroke or 2 stroke.. usually a 2 stroke will last about 5000 - 10000 miles if taken care of properly but they can last as mush as 18000 is the highest ive seen .. but don't get me wrong they could possibly go much more.. 4 strokes are usually more reliable and will last about 8000 - 15000 mile easily if not abused..

What is the crankcase oil capacity for a 1980 Yamaha Enticer snowmobile?

I have an 1980 Yamaha Enticer 250 (ET250D). Here's what the sticker under the hoods says...

The oil capacity for the "Chain Case" is 15.21 oz (or 450 cc).

If you are talking about the engine crankcase, there is no oil in the crankcase of a two-stroke engine. It is lubricated by the oil that is mixed into the gas.

I am not sure what weight oil to use. The dealer told me to use Yamaha Chain Case Oil (but he didn't know the weight of the oil).

Hope this helps!
