Socratic method is the only method for thesis proving. There are, however, many small tweaked versions for each experiment. One such example is done with infecting an uninfected animal with a disease to see if the cells are the same.

Socrates was executed in 399 BC in Athens for impiety and corrupting the youth, as he was accused of undermining the traditional beliefs of the city's gods and spreading revolutionary ideas among the youth.
