Did Sparta have stone for walls?

Sparta was not a city in a sense we think of today. It was a simple union of 4 close villages and one somewhat farther south. They were only 1-2km away from each other with the exception of the last who was little more than 3km away.

So basically there was no actual city,so there could not be wall around it,nor there was any need, since in those villages in most glorious times lived around 5000-8000 best trained warriors in ancient world, with at least 5-10x more personal slaves who could also fight + people from the nearby allied villages.

Well, in the early stages of the Peloponnesian War (431B.C. - 404B.C.), Athens had a far better Navy. There Superior Navy allowed it to conquer The West Coast of Asia Minor and most of the Aegen Islands. But later, Sparta made there own Navy by buying ships for The Persian Empire. Sparta's Navy allowed it to defeat Athens , but

this was more due to the factthat Athens was already surrounded by Sparta and its Allies by land. But, overall Athens always had a better Navy. Hope I answered your question. :)

What are the main characteristics of Athens and Sparta?

Sparta had a more militaristic state than Athens. Sparta had all men training for the military at age seven and ending at age sixty (so basically their whole life was for the military). Also, Sparta valued women much more than Athens. In Athens, women had no rights at all and were only there to reproduce and to clean up after the men and manage the home. They also took care of the babies. Unlike the Sparta women who were allowed to have military training (but could not serve in the military), play sports, learn about the arts, go out in public, and own property/stores. Those from Sparta were descendants of the Dorian invaders, however those from Athens were descendants of the Ionians. Athens founded democracy, and believed that the individual was important, while Sparta believed in the state rather than the individual, with a government based on a oligarchic system. Sparta based their society on the repression of 'Helots' (slaves). Athens freed their slaves and abolished debt slavery.

Why is adjective Spartan mean '' marked by great self-discipline or self-denial '' an appropriate meaning for this word derived from Sparta?

What this question is asking for is why is this definition appropriate for Sparta. It was appropriate since Sparta was known for its great military and how they didn't really do much accept for training in the army. Boys trained at thee age of seven, and girls had physical training. (Since Spartan authorities believed that rigorous exercises helped girls in producing healthy babies to later on join the army.) I hope that this answer helped you on your question!

How to protect my walls in my bathroom?

If it's from dampness you wish to protect from or mould from dampness there are 2 ways. Firstly, the cheaper way, is to use an oil base undercoat and then for the second coat use a mid sheen or vinyl silk emulsion. If that doesn't work, there are anti dampness or anti mould/fungus products such as owatrawl(not sure of the exact spelling, sorry). Again this would prime the walls, after all mould and dampness was scraped away first. Finish the walls with the normal paint later. I realise that some countries don't permit the use of oil based paints so straight to the latter for you guys. Maybe give the wall two coats of the owatrawl or equivalent which is actually used in a mix with normal emulsion. Remember to finish with the emulsion only. Preferably a mid sheen or silk/washable finish for rooms where condensation is typical.
