What gender is more likely to commit suicide in the military?

Women attempt suicide more than men, but men have higher suicide rates than women because they almost always use more lethal methods such as shooting themselves or jumping off a very tall building/structure. Women tend to use overdosing on pills, gasing the inside of their car, or other less aggressive methods.

What is suicide?

Assisted SuicideNormally, an adult who really wants to commit suicide is able to do so. However, an adult who is weak and bedridden, for example, may want to commit suicide but be physically unable to do so, and may want assistance from another person. This ranges from helping the bedridden person put poison in a glass of water to more active help. As far as I know, in most countries and states anyone helping another person to commit suicide risks extremely serious charges, such as murder.
  • It is when someone completely aware of a persons attempt at suicide makes an action or attempt of their own to offer help or "assist" in the suicidal persons suicide actions physically.
  • It is not assisted suicide to sell someone the gun that they will use to kill themselves because it is not physically harming them though it is physically handing them a gun !
  • It is not assisted suicide to stand and watch a person kill themselves because you are not physically helping them.
  • It is not assisted suicide to stand and guide a person through their plan though it is helping them vocally.
  • The reason why the law made physical help considered assisted suicide is because It gives them the proof to charge the person with assisting the suicide

Assisted suicide is when the person that is ill has someone help them die. If someone is dying an extremely painful death that no medication can help, and the disease progression will only make them worse, then the topic of Assisted Suicide may come under consideration.

Euthanasia is a form of assisted suicide. It can be used to end a terminal patients life where the patient is mentally aware of what is going on and has requested it themselves, but it is considered not ethical in many Countries and it's not legal in many more Countries, although it is legal in Switzerland to name just one.

Euthanasia is a topic that's being hotly discussed around the World for legal use. It is already in use for animals and prisoners on Death Row.

Assisted suicide is illegal in Canada and U.S. at the time of this writing (7/2011).

Dr. Jack Kevorkian was perhaps the most famous doctor in recent times to develop a controlled setting with his machine, where the patient was in total control of pushing the button that ended their life, when they wanted to be released from their agony. Many hated him for it, while others believed he did nothing wrong.

What should you do if you are having thoughts of suicide?

If you really want the help and are willing, tell someone right then that can help you. If you're more private, this is much less advised, but draw a butterfly on your arm or wrist and pray. I used to be suicidal and I got through with God and the Butterfly Project.

The best way to get help if you feel that life is that hopeless is to find a good therapist -- either through your church, your community, or by using the internet. Look for someone who does Cognitive Behavioral Therapy if possible, but you need an objective person to talk this over with!

Call the Suicide Hotline RIGHT NOW, then get that therapist lined up and get in some good, long talk sessions so you can get back to feeling like your old self!

No one is known to have committed suicide on the bridge, but the San Francisco Chronicle reports that more than 1,250 have killed themselves by jumping off of it. The exact number is not known, because there are some bodies found that might have jumped off the bridge, but it isn't known for sure. And there are certainly people who jumped off and no one observed it and the body was never recovered.

Why are so many kids killing themselves?

Bullies keep picking on poor children; making fun of them even though they don't know what's really happening in that child's life. Like the kid could be beat at home then beat up at school and that could make someone want to die - or the teasing keeps making them think that they are not needed in this world, that they might be need somewhere else. So they take their life because they "don't belong".

Teenagers are also hormonal and angsty, because that's just what happens at that age. Because of that, things can get blown out of proportion/seem a lot bigger, or worse, than they are.

How many pills should you take to overdose and have a miscarriage?

How do you buried a person that committed suicide?

Yes, of course he or she can be buried in any grave site at any cemetery. They can be cremated too. All the old myths, superstitions and false religious beliefs to not apply. God views all people with love and understands when people cannot cope and end their lives. Don't believe anyone who tells you otherwise. There are no scriptures that say anything bad about people who commit suicide. Even one of the Kings of Israel did when he suffered from mental anguish and he was buried with honors (This record is in the Old Testament under the record of King Saul.) I have a Masters of Divinity so I have researched this matter. We as people need to love and accept others who end their lives when they no longer can cope.

Is suicide or attempted suicide against the law in Georgia?

Nope, it's not. Only two states - North and South Dakota - list suicide as a punishable felony crime. Both have been hesitant to enforce the law, however, given the circumstances that must precede the attempt at taking of one's life, and the probable counter-effect to seeking or benefiting from therapy.
Suicide is the act of taking ones own life.

I think that's what you meant. I'm not entirely sure what "Suiside" is.

How many People go to Heaven when they Commit Suicide a day?

Before this is answered, consider that under the various Christian denominations, Christ as God is all-powerful. Yet, he permitted the children of his creation to take his life. In essence, as horrifying as it might seem, Christ commuted suicide. "No greater love can be seen than he who lays down his life for another." Now, the answer of sorts. The only sin that sends a sole to Help is the denial of the Holy Spirit, others may say firings out of a state of grace. That being the case, despair might put one in such a state, provided the doctrine of eternal salvation is a myth. The fact is that sunset the concept of Help and eternal damnation are matters of faith and cannot be proven,, and this question cannot be answered.

Another Answer:

First, the Sixth Command is quite clear that mankind is not to kill/murder mankind and this includes suicide. Only God who created can rightly destroy.

Second, the Bible never teaches 'eternal damnation' but plainly teaches the 2nd Death - total physical cessation and ashes from the Lake of Fire. Only spirits who became demons will be eternally tormented for their sins.

Finally, the Bible uses the Hebrew term 'Sheol' and the equivalent Greek term 'Hades' for the grave or pit. This translate to the English term 'hell' and is the common resting place of all mankind - Even Jesus was in 'hell' 3 days and 3 nights. Death is commonly associated with 'sleep' in the Scripture and all who die sleep and await their call to the Judgement process by Christ. Only those incorrigibly unrepentant with those who were previously called in life but rejected the gift of God's Holy Spirit (aka the Spirit of Christ) - the Unpardonable Sin - will be cast into the Lake of Fire. All who never understood or never had their call to eternal life, will receive their chance during this process (it is not a sentencing for the majority of mankind). God is equally fair to everyone.

When did Amanda Todd die?

Are suicidal people rational?

It depends on the state of mind, Culture, and Religion. Lets take a look at someone who has absolutely nothing to live for: No Family, no Friends, treated poorly through their lives, their Atheist so they assume a blissful nothingness awaits them, never had a Lover, just lost their job, you get the idea, their pretty depressed and most likely feeling worthlessness/hopelessness. If they contemplate suicide, it's probably rational. You can't even say it's selfish in this scenario because who would it be selfish to?

Now killing yourself suddenly out of an argument with your Boyfriend/Girlfriend would be irrational because it's something that you'll easily deal with with a few months of time or so. Emotions are running high and in the heat of the moment, you might do something stupid. You'd be hurting everyone around you, and be destroying your future/dreams.

Now lets look at Culture. Go back to World War II, some Japanese soldiers were actually EXPECTED to kill themselves if they had lost the War. Irrational? Maybe to a Western. If you were Japanese living 70 years ago, you'd think much differently than you do now.

In the end, it's only irrational if they have some sort of mental disorder, or their flooding with strong emotions all at once. Suicide is simply thought to be an evil, selfish, irrational act by so many people because the word "Suicide" doesn't give anyone else gain. It can only lose.

Is suicide an option?

I sometimes think so, but I look around and remember why life is worth living for, all the people that would suffer because of 1 choice, make a change. It is not an option nor a solution. Life is tough for all of us find your higher calling whatever that may be.

It is an option but not one that you should or should want to take. Death is final. Once you commit suicide you can never, ever take that back. Get help if you are considering suicide as an option.

Do you talk to real people when calling suicide hotline?

Have you ever thought of killing yourself before?

When you Overdose and you don't Wake up do you go to Hell?

If you did it on purpose only.

Another Answer:

According to the Bible, all living souls will die which is associated with 'sleep.' The most common term used for 'hell' is the Hebrew 'Sheol' and the Greek 'Hades' which simply means grave or pit. All humans will go to hell in this sense as even Jesus spent 3 full days and nights there in the tomb.

When the dead are called to awaken, they will go to the Judgement process. This will include the vast majority of mankind - less the firstfruits and the incorrigibly unrepentant wicked who will face the 2nd death in the Lake of Fire.

Modern concepts of hell taught by many Churches are more closely associated with Dante's Inferno and is not Scriptural.
