Despite his Native American middle name, General Sherman was an outspoken enemy of Native Americans. This statement by him is in the public domain and hence deemed fit as part of the answer. Sherman in around 1866 said; " We must act with vindictive earnestness against the Sioux, even to the point of extermination, men, women, and children. Nothing else will reach the root of this case."

Sherman, under then US President Grant, followed an aggressive and hostile policy of placing Native Americans on reservations or killing them.

As an aside, the well known case of General Custer, was based on President Grant's order to have all Indian Americans in Montana, moved to reservations.

American Native Tribes People in the entire Western Hemisphere were basically "marginalized" to one degree or another.

Tecumseh was killed by Harrison's army at the Battle of the Thames, ending the resistance in the Old Northwest.

Tecumseh was supplied weapons by Britain during his war. This caused major tensions between the countries of America and Britain.

He wants to maintain his own independence.

No, but during 1861-62 there were a series of newspaper articles stating that General Sherman was "crazy" and "insane".Sherman disliked newpaper reporters, considered them to be spies, and banned them from observing his troops. Secretary of War Simon Cameron took an opposite approach, seeking approval from the press by furnishing them with detailed information about Union (Federal) military operations. In a report to the New York Times, Cameron indicated that Sherman had requested 200,000 troops, which Cameron considered a "crazy" request. The Times and other papers, angry at the way Sherman treated them, jumped on the remark and for months ran articles accusing Sherman of insanity. Under the pressures of his command and the barrage of newspaper criticism, Sherman did suffer depression and a possible nervous breakdown. He was given a 20-day leave by his immediate commander General Halleck, who indicated that in his opinion Sherman was temporarily worn out from his duties and merely needed some time to rest. Sherman returned from that leave rejuvenated, and went on to serve as one of the Union's most successful and respected generals. Tecumseh faced an uphill battle in trying to unify the various tribes, because many tribes didn't believe there was a chance they could beat the Anglo-Americans in a war. They wanted to keep the peace, and preserve what land they still had left. Younger braves were easier to persuade, and formed a large part of Tecumseh's movement.

Depends on the brand mower the engine is installed on. More than likely any standard 12V lawn mower battery will fit.

Purchase a rebuild kit. Take the carb off the engine. Disassemble the carb. Clean the parts with carb cleaner. Reassemble and install then adjust carb (if applicable) while running the engine.

A tecumseh 6.5hp engine is a 195cc.

It is usually above the float in the little bowl at the bottom of the carb.
