What does the Bible say about the afterlife?

The Bible actually says very little about the afterlife. Some of the things it does say are as follows:

1. The afterlife is eternal. (Mt 25:46)

2. If we are faithful Christians who believe that Christ's atonement for our sin is the only reason we are saved, we will be with God for eternity. (Doing good deeds has no bearing on being saved or not. Yes, good deeds are wonderful and the Bible says, "Faith without works is dead." (James 2:17) However, we are saved by God's grace alone. (Acts 15:11; Eph 2:5; 2:8; 2 Tim 1:9)

3. The afterlife is likened to paradise. (Luke 23:43)

4. Hell is eternal separation from God. (Mt 25:41-46)

Why is the afterlife important?

The existence of an afterlife is important to those who believe in such things as that as, if the y reach the "good" afterlife it will confirm that they were right all their life. Most believers in an afterlife do not give much thought to what happens if they were wrong. To believers in many non Abrahamic faiths do not see the afterlife in the same manner as the typical western their. It becomes, for Buddhists as a an example, a loss of personal identity and a merging with a selfless whole. This loss of desire and identity is seen as a desirable state/

For atheists and apatagnostics there is no concern with an afterlife even if it exists. SO it is not important.

How do you have a afterlife?

Nobody is really sure, but everybody seems to have an answer (except for Unitarian Universalists, who have questions - it's okay, I can pick on my own kind)

For example, Christians believe that Jesus is the way the truth and the life and you should repent and believe in him, and that he is the answer to all problems.

Many eastern religions believe that if you live a virtuous life in this existence, you will come back in a better existence next time around.

According to Deepak Chopra in "Life After Death", we may actually have a hand in creating our existence in this life and beyond, and combines spiritual writings with scientific findings to support his claims. If that is the case, believing in an afterlife would be a very good start. And if your library has his aforementioned book, it's a good read.

Why does Alice load her shotgun with quarters in Resident Evil Afterlife?

Because ammo was more than likely low or gone. So she used quarters because with the power of the shotgun would wouk strong enough like a bullet. Also resident evil 4 (and maybe 5) you get money from killing the creatures so they found a way to add that into the movie as well.

Well other than this not working well at all in a 12ga or 10ga shotgun due to quarters having a diameter of around an 8ga shotgun... that they do not make... shooting quarters at zombies would be pointless as they are not as heavy as lead and dont have the same power to penetrate their skulls... now you can load dimes into a 12ga but once again it would not be as effective.

I would personally load clipped off nail heads or nuts and bolts...

(newer answer) ok...they did make 8 gauge but way long to long ago so it would look like Alices shotguns(they dont make shells anymore i think)...and if you happen to find yourself in a survival situation where you have a 12gauge shot gun but no lead ammo you can use dimes.

---------------------

Just a note. US quarter diameter is 24.26 mm. The only shotgun that is close to that caliber is Russian KS-23 chambered for 23 mm shell. However, it's a pump action, while Alice has sawed off double barrels.

Answer 2:

As is confirmed by near-death experience research, we are all judged on the Other Side by a nonliving, higher power known as The Light of God, The Breath of God, and simply The Light. This higher power dictates our ability to ascend or expand our consciousness to a spiritual dimension of energy. We are judged by our application (or lack thereof) of The Golden Rule, by our selflessness (or selfishness), and by our ability to love genuinely and deeply - which corresponds to our ability to radiate spiritual white light.

All souls are immortal. But the quality and impact of our immortality on the Other Side is largely determined by our spirituality - not our religion - before our bodily death. The Light is not a respecter of groups or religions and cares only about our character and selflessness. We are all held accountable for our actions and even our intentions. There is no vicarious atonement for our karmic debts and we are obligated to amend them in The Light.
