Afterlife is a belief in egypt. Its like once you die, they mummify your body, and the Egyptians believed you lived a "second life." They had to mummify you so that the people in the afterlife would recognize you. In afterlife you would just live a second life after you had died.

The after life is the spirit world from where we first lived with our Father in heaven. When we return after our death we are taught the gospel in all of its fulness if we had little chance of hearing it whist alive on earth. For those who accepted the true gospel and learned much, they may be given the opportunity to teach others in the afterlife. The afterlife is a busy place with much activity going on. There is no sitting on white clouds playing harps, but everyone is occupied in doing something.

Muslims believe that the life of this world and all that is in it will come to an end on one appointed day, when everything will be annihilated. This day will resurrect all the dead; Allah will judge with perfect justice each person individually according to his good or bad actions that he did during his life, and every victim will have his/ her rights. Allah will reward those who lead a righteous life and did good deeds by sending them to Paradise (Jannah). Allah forgives whom He pleases of those who disobeyed His Command, or punish them in the Hellfire (Jahannam).

Children of unbaptized parents can be baptized for their parents by proxy (or someone else may do it as well), as well as do sealing for them. It's up to the parents waiting in the spirit world to choose to accept these ordinances for themselves, however. And yes, you will see your family in the afterlife whether or not they are sealed to you or each other. If they choose to not accept the sealing, then you may be sealed to an ancestor who does during the Millennium time.

What happens in the afterlife depends on which religion you follow, however most modern religions say that there is some form of judgement in which the fate of the soul is determined.

Christians, Jews, Muslims and Zoroastrians say that the souls of believers will go to heaven or paradise, although in most cases this may depend on the sins the person committed on earth. Catholics believe that believers who have committed minor (venial) sins, that have not been forgiven, will spend some time in a purgatory, a place of temporary punishment; they also believe that the souls of unbaptised babies go to limbo, although the Church appears to be moving away from this doctrine. In heaven, souls can live in comfort and joy, and in the eternal company of God. Muslims also believe that those who take part in jihad go straight to heaven, without further judgement, and are met by eternal virgins. Those who are judged unworthy of heaven go to hell. This is typically thought of as a place of fire and eternal punishment.

Daoists and some Buddhists believe that the soul is reincarnated as a new person, in a never-ending cycle, until perfect knowledge and righteousness is achieved. The soul then goes to heaven and joins the gods.

Atheists believe there is no afterlife.

Evolution does not preclude the possibility of an afterlife, so you may choose to believe that we have souls that continue in some kind of afterlife when we die. Many people do believe in an afterlife because it provides comfort to think that loved ones have not merely deceased. However, there is not a scintilla of evidence that there really is an afterlife.

Hindus follow and practice certain religious rituals for their departed parents. There are certain rituals they follow for thirteen days soon after the death. Every year on the day of the death they again practice a ritual called "Shaarddha"

sometimes, it can also refer to maturity or later development, in after-life the inventor devised a machine that was used for copying photos on a scroll of paper, a forerunner of the Xerox. ( this was not marketed- and was not used in Egypt) the inventor was Mr., Eastman and he latterly developed a sort of proto-Xerox machine way back in l886 but did not market it commercially!
