look on the throttoe body and back the idle adjusting screw out the screw is a flat head some times it is good to take it out and cleane the end off carbon builds up on the scew hope this helps

remove your backseat. under the backseat you'll find an aluminum pry it up & under it is the fuel pump access. remove the bolts and lift your pump out the tank. follow your new pump installation instructions and reinstall everything.

Replacing a driver side window in a 1995 Toyota Tercel requires removing the window trim from the door so the old glass can slide out. When inserting the new glass be sure to carefully lower it on to the window track so it will not crack.

Before you start, it is advised that you disconnect the battery otherwise you may blow a fuse. There is a fuse for the bulb which can be removed instead of disconnecting the battery, but I don't know which fuse it is.

Remove the cover by gently prying it open using a screwdriver. You'll see two small openings next to the switch, this is where you should insert the screwdriver. Be carefull not to stick in the screwdriver too far or force it open. If it won't open easily then you are doing something wrong.

To replace the bulb, simply remove it with your fingers, it should come out easily. Gently insert the new bulb. Be carefull, the bulb is very fragile and may break if forced. Reconnect the battery and test the bulb using the light switch. Snap back in the cover and you are done.

First get the the replacement slave and have it on hand. Have someone in the truck to push the pedal while you bleed the slave cylinder. Use a line wrench to disconnect the line to it. Probably a 10mm. Then taking off mounting nuts and old slave cylinder. To put the new one on just reverse the steps, mount the new one, hook the hydraulic line back up, fill the master clutch cylinder resivoir with brake fluid and bleed it again. Do it until the fluid comes out yelowish. Top on resivoir, and that is it.

on the right side of the engine, behind the water pump, above the transmission is your starter simply remove the nut with a 12mm socket or wrench unplug the plug attached to it, and remove the 2 bolts with a 14mm socket and replace the starter.

I just replaced a started on a 94 today. The easiest way to get the bolts out is too remove the air filter and the housing it sits in. under the filter is 3 12mm bolts. remove those and the screw that connects the filter to the intake. Once that is out of the way you can get to the bolts from the top of the car pretty easily.

Easily, if you know how to hypermile.

All engines that use a coil pack are pretty much the same. One end of the sparkplug wire connects to sparkplug, the other to the coil pack. Just follow the wires.

Check in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side, if not may be in the power distribution box near batter under the hood...check owners manual to see which one it is..

sounds like a survey to me. Mine has 128,000 -its a 1996. I'll let you know when I hit 200,000.

well bud I have you beat at the moment.. I have a 1993 Toyota tercel 2 door coupe with the stock 1.5 SOHC enigen in it and the thing has 178,500+ miles as of 9.12.09 I've been replacing steadly everything on the car but have not yet had to make any repair on the engine.. how ever I am getting ready to replace the front and rear main oil seals in the engine sence the car is getting up there in milage.. aslong as the car as treated nicely and repairs and oilchanges are maintained frequntly this type of car and enigne will have no problem reaching 300k mils and up.

~!~I have a 1984 Toyota Tercel Wagon that is still on the road. I am about to replace the alternator on it(which incidentaly went out this morning). But it has 231,000 miles on it as of 10/22/09 and over all it is still in good shape.

I can tell there has been some loss in the power and it smokes a little bit, but I am planning on rebuilding or replacing the motor within the year. I am a big fan of older toyotas.

to the guy with 178K plus worried about crank seals might want too be more interested in a timing belt and water pump that tercel is an interference engine witch means broke belt bent valves junk car and the recommended service interval i believe is 80K

I have the instruction manual for mine and it says 3 quarts, but I ckecked the oil level 3000 miles after I changed it and it needed 1 more quart (my car could be burning oil, I guess, or it needed 4 quarts originally).

You can find a 1988 Toyota carburetor diagram at most Toyota dealerships. The diagram can also be found in Toyota service manuals at your local library.

Start with the trim around the radio and work your way down. Each piece overlaps the last one. There are screws on each side that may or may not have trim plugs over them. There are two screws holding the shifter knob on.

Either the cable dry or something is wrong in the head. Take the cable out first and lube it and see if that fixes it.

I replaced my clutch for about 114.00 but i get a discount. list price is probably around 150 or 175 for oem clutch kit.

It is on top left of the fuel rail situated in the top rear of the engine.
