What are the chances you will get pregnant if you have clamps around your tubes?
The chance of pregnancy after tubal ligation is about 1/300. The risk begins around the 5th year after the procedure and remains until you complete menopause.
What are the symptoms of pregnancy after tubes are clamped?
This is called an ectopic pregnancy. Symptoms include intense abdominal pain and the urge to move one's bowels. Nausea, disorientation and fever may also occur. These symptoms are similar to those of other conditions, and anyone who suspects a tubal pregnancy is encouraged to get medical attention immediately. An ectopic pregnancy is a serious matter, as it can cause a fatal infection if not treated soon after symptoms develop.
Could you be pregnant if you sometimes see red when wiping?
If this is happening around the time you normally get your period, then it could be implantation bleeding, which means you are pregnant. It could also be a very "off" period this month. If you think you are pregnant, you should wait a couple of more days and then take a test.
What should you do if you get pregnant after a tubal ligation?
Assess the following immediately considering it most likely wasn't planned: Is it a tubal pregnancy? most important... Have you been taking prescription/recreational drugs? Are you an alcoholic? Talk to doc and be honest if you plan to keep it!
How do you get pregnant with the tubal clamp?
1. You don't 2. IVFIt is possible that there would be a leak in one of your tubes, or that one of your tubes repaired itself. 3. When instead of the tubes, round ligament gets ligated there could be pregnancy. This mistake is not unknown.
What would cause a 37 year old woman who had a tubal ligation to suddenly stop having a period?
Not really. however a woman who hasn't had her tubes tied can also have a 3 month period without a period and not necessarily be pregnant.
If you are a lot overweight or underweight this can also cause an absence in menstruation as well as stress and other factors. if you had your tubes tied during/after the birth of a baby then it can be normal not to have a period while breastfeeding
The best and only thing you can do is take a pregnancy test. and if its positive seek medical advice to rule out eptopic pregnancy. goodluck
What are other ways to get pregnant?
Aside from the usual way, you can receive the implantation of an in vitrio fertilized egg. It is also possible to be artificially inseminated with semen from a sperm donor. Rarely, but not impossible, pregnancies result from accidental artificial insemination if the woman is, how shall we say this, less than hygienic with her sex toys.
Apart from the traditional way there are the option of sperm donors and IVF treatment. IVF treatment is more expensive than the other options but sometimes is the most successful.
Can you take a bath after getting tubes tied?
you can take a bath as soon as your insicion is heald up
Can you still get pregnant after tubes been clipped or cut?
well im in the same boat i had a tubal ligation with clips and apperantly might be pregnant there is a 5percent chance if you had it done with c-section that you can get pregnant the like;y hood that its in the uterous is 1 percent chance you can always get pregnant with it however the clips prevent the egg and sperm to continue to the uterus
Personally i don't think it's possible to carry a baby successfully in your tube, that would be an etopic pregnancy and if left untreated it can be dangerous. my sister was three months when she lost the baby cuz it was in her tube and the doctor said there is no way that would be possible the baby needsa utuerus to grow the tubes isn't just gonna do it..hope that helps! I have had my tubal done now 16 years an i think im pregnant..im just to afraid to find out currently im awaiting my reaults,,i will keep you posted best of luck!!!
AnswerHello there! I have heard of many women who get pregnant and have the baby healthy after having a tubal ligation. I think the failure rate is a little higher than the doctors say. But hey what do I know? lol....I'm not a doctor. I had a tubal(cut and burned)6 years ago and 2 months ago I did get pregnant....I did end up miscarrying...but the whole thing is the sperm met the egg and made it to my uterus which would not have happened if the tubes was blocked as it is supposed to be. So I am not convinced that a tubal ligation is as effective as they say. Hope this adds a little food for thought. Thanks...LisaCould you still get pregnant if you had your tubes cut and burned 19 years ago?
It's highly unlikely but it still can happen. Tubal ligation has less than a 2% failure rate. If you feel that you could be pregnant after having tubal ligation you should see a Dr as soon as possible because you are at higher risk for ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, and other complications.
If your tubes are tied then why do you still have menstrual cycle scientifically?
Because periods are controlled by hormones from your ovaries and form in your uterus. When you get your tubes tied it just severs the path the egg takes but everything else is still intact. A partial or full historectomy or menopause will stop periods permanantly.
What are the different kinds of tubal ligation?
A tubal ligation is a sterilization procedure. There are a number of differing methods; Pomeroy Tubal and resection, tubal with fallopian ring, a tubal with hulka clip, a bipolar tubal coagulation, a Parkland and an Irving tubal.
After having a tubal ligation can they come untied?
not likely will that happen.......doctor's these days perform better surgeries then they did back then if you had your tubes tied, cut, and burnt then you should'nt have that problem.
Can you get pregnant if your tubal clamp falls off?
yes they can! my left one is off and in my abdomen! my obgyn assured me this happens all the time and pregnancy is not possible!
Actually, you CAN get pregnant! One of the clamps fell off 18 years ago for me... my daughter was born within a year later!
If tubes are cut can you reverse it through surgery and become pregnant?
Yes, reversal surgery is an option, there are no guarantees of pregnancy.
Can you become pregnant after having a tubal ligation 3 years ago?
Anything is possible but there havent been many cases of this in the years they have done tubal ligation. Go back to that same doctor and have them test you and if you are pregnant, they owe you an explanation and some money....Good luck. Yes. My tubal ligation failed 6 weeks after the surgery. I had a hysterosalpingogram shortly thereafter that showed one tube 100% open. Regardless of whether you trust your physician, if you are in fact pregnant, ask for an immediate referral to another, impartial physician (don't stick with the original physician, which is what I did!). A reputable physician will understand, indeed, will be most concerned that you receiving optimal care. In my case, despite having a good prior relationship with my physician, this physician turned out to be both in denial and frankly dishonest once it became apparently that the surgery was probably, then definitely, a failure. I had a lot of trouble with my insurance company and in obtaining an accurate diagnosis as a result of this physician's behavior.
How long after a tubal ligation can you get pregnant?
If you have heavy vaginal bleeding after the first day post-surgery, you should tell your doctor. You should also tell him if you miss your period.
Though it seems that bleeding for long periods of time after tubal ligation surgery, it should not be accompanied with fever, nausea, and pain. This can be an indication of infection, in which case antibiotics are necessary. Ignoring treatment for an infection can lead to permanent and serious complications.
You should only bleed lightly for less than a week post surgery, and without the other symptoms listed above. The pain should only be associated with either gas (in shoulder, abdomen), which resolves on its own after about 2-3 days or less, or directly from the surgical wounds. If the pain radiates and/or you have a fever and/or you can feel heat, with or without bleeding, this may be a sign of infection.
You should raise any concern about post surgery symptoms with your doctor. Your doctor will want to evaluate it and determine the cause and/or treatment.
Hello. Yes its possible you could be pregnant. Because of your pat history with the tubal, its highly advisable you contact your doctor about the possibility of being pregnant and also have a blood test to confirm your pregnant or not. Good luck. i am also 24 and also had a tubal at 21 after my second child, and like you, also have signs of pregnancy. things that ive only experienced twice before. both times being pregnant. i would also advise seeking the advice of your doctor . from what ive read on here it is highly likely that it could be an eptopic pregnancy. ANSWER #2 Stastically the younger you have your tubes tied the higher chance of you falling pregnant, mostly because the longer it is since your tubal the higher chance of your body repairing itself. women who have tubals later in life (over 35 for eg) are less likely to fall pregnant due to the fact that by the time the body could heal itslef, they would no longer be fertile. best thing to do is go get a pregnancy test and if its positive, have a scan to rule out the eptopic pregnancy. goodluck
Yes you can but this must be carefully thought out before proceeding as it's irreversible. I would seek the guidance of my gynecologist and even a counsellor before making such a decision if I was of child-bearing age.
Can you have pain in the ovary after you have had your tubes tied?
can you have pain in the ovary after you have had your tubes tied
Ways can you get pregnant if your tubes cut tied and burnt?
To tell you the truth after my tubal my menstrual cycles have become awful. At first everything was very calm little to know cramping and the flow was very light. Now after 3 years the cramps are enough to make you cry and the flow is very heavy and lasts for 7 to 8 days. Just because of this I wouldn't recommend a tubal to my worst enemy. Although I'm not sure what I would recommend in it's place I know of 2 people that were conceived after a full vasectomy. I honestly would rather take my chances with the pill even though I conceived my second daughter while on the pill.
