There are 2 different ultrasounds you can do though, the one sees through your stomache & the other one looks like a dildo that has to be put into you to get a closer look. But either one will be able to see if there is a baby.

Yes you can have a sono at 10 weeks.........we had a vag. sono at 8 weeks and we were able to see the baby and hear and see the heart beat!!! It was amazing i am going on 10 weeks tomorrow 12/27/2007 and am feeling great. Up to about 20 weeks of pregnancy all babies are about the same size. After that the size of the baby depends more and more on genetics and nutrition. Counting back 40 weeks from the estimated date of delivery gives an indication of when the last period might have been.

Don't stress out! With my 2nd baby I had the same thing. I was convinced that I was going to miscarry. I had another ultrasound at 6 weeks and at that time all they saw was the sac, then finnaly at 8 weeks we got to see that little peanut.

Well although some people think the signs are MYTHS, they aren't A boy you carry lower and the heart-rate is usually in the 150 area and a girl the exact opposite higher,170 area. Trust and believe this is true because I had a baby boy and I carried low... At first I can say I thought he was gonna be a girl because his heart-rate was 172 but it lowered on my next visit to 154:)

temporal, carotid, brachial, radial, femoral, popliteal ... these arteries are the main places where you can find a pulse.

Yes a baby can see at the age of 3 weeks, but only objects no farther than a couple of inches away from them. And even then it is most likely blury and hard to make out what is being looked at.

At five weeks the baby to be is still an embryo, it will not become a fetus until the end of the first trimester. At five weeks the embryo is still masses of cells that are forming body parts. There are groups that will become the heart and circulatory system, the heart is beating and blood cells are beginning to flow. The nervous system (brain and spinal cord) are forming and CSF will soon be flowing. There are buds forming that will become arms, legs, hands and feet. While the embryo bares little resemblance to the baby it will be, the growth over the last five weeks is amazing.

Not sure exactly what you mean, and I wonder why the Ultrasound tech did not tell you this.......... Anyway, I guess I can explain it like this. The girl parts will resemble a hotdog on a bun between her legs. Which could be the 3 lines you are refering too.

Yes, that is morning sickness, retching without anything coming up. Some women vomit, but not everyone. It is rather horrible, but perfectly normal, and the sick feeling is a good sign that the pregnancy hormones are building up.

Most women find that morning sickness - which can strike at any time of the day - gets better by around weeks 12-14 but some unlucky ones find it persists for longer.

If this is happening first thing in the morning, try and eat a biscuit (UK) cracker (US)

so that you have something in your stomach. Get up as slowly as you can. During the day, eat small, frequent, non-greasy meals.

Try not to have an empty stomach as that makes this sick feeling worse. Make sure that you are drinking plenty of water, a little at a time. Eat what you can face till the sickness gets better.
