its like if you have somthiing wrong with you or if your pregnat you get them done it doesnt hurt at all they just put jell on your stomac nd rub wit theis thing and it shows the in side of your stomach :)

Yes, it is very common for one twin to hide behind the other and be missed on the scan. That's what happened to my best friend's mum, she went for a scan suspecting she was having twins, and they told her it was one baby, when she went for her 12 week, it turned out she was actually pregnant with triplets, they hid behind each other.

honestly, i am having the same problem.. from my estimated due date from my lmp i shoud be 6 weeks 2 days. i have started bleeding and went to er for ultrasound. empty uterus. doc says im probably not as far along as i thought. i wanna say everything sounds ok with u as long as u are not bleeding. sometimes though empty uterus can mean the pregnancy is somewhere else though like fallopian tubes. see doctor again, request another, or just go to er to calm your nerves. best of luck us both and i will keep u in my prayers

An ultrasound at 6 weeks should show a fetal heartbeat, if there was a fetal heartbeat you're not miscarrying..

You conceived 5 weeks and 4 days earlier, sometime around 17 December. hello I am not providing an answer but a question- why do you take off 2 weeks to determine conception date?I am 5wks1day pregnant does that mean I should think i am really 3 wks1day pregnant? am having a hardtime figuring this out as I have pcos and my periods are irregular so I dont really know the length of my cycle- but if i count back 5 wksi got pregnant a day ot two after my lasperiod stopped so it would makemore sense if u do take off 2 weeks..Thanks!

It depends on how developed the baby is. In early stages you can't tell them apart. In later stages, if the baby is facing the right way, you can make out the genitalia if it's a boy.

Spotting in early pregnancy can be normal and happens more frequently than one would suspect. Check with your ob-gyn if you have not already, Avoid heavy lifting and any new exercise.

The presence of an early GS can be confused with a small collection of fluid or blood or the pseudo GS of an ectopic pregnancy. The first trimester of a pregnancy lasts up until week 12. If you are 11 weeks pregnant and you have a competent sonographer, there is NO WAY you could miss seeing an intrauterine pregnancy (a normal pregnancy inside the uterus). If you had an ultrasound and the sonographer didn't see anything (even as early as 5 or 6 weeks you should see a gestational sac) then you have probably miscarried already. Take another pregnancy test with your doctor's guidance. Another scenario that might come up (if your pregnancy test is still positive) is that you might have an ectopic pregnancy (where the egg implanted OUTSIDE of the uterus). This is fairly common but can be a serious disorder. The egg can implant anywhere in the pelvis or abdomen, but if you're 11 weeks along and you're not in a lot of pain, then that's probably unlikely. Go back and talk to your doctor.

I believe it depends on how far along you are. The farther along the faster you see the line. Past experience with my youngest daughters 8 test (yes 8...I didn't want to believe it) and oldest daughters that how it worked. My oldest daughter was only a few weeks and it took awhile to see a line. However my youngest was farther along when she took the tests and it popped up immediately. Read the instructions in the pack.

Don't be alarmed if no heartbeat is detected yet. usually it can be detected around 5-6 weeks.

I am going through exactly the same thing, I started spotting and went into the Dr. I am 9 weeks preggy, unless my dates are wrong and the baby only measured 6 weeks 1 day with no heartbeat i have to go back in on friday, i am still spotting has this happened to anyone before what was the outcome?
