The closest thing to infantry in the Air Force would be the 820th Security Forces Squadron's at Moody AFB, located inValdosta Ga. They include 822nd, 823rd, and the 824th Security Forces Squadrons. They do air base defence missions in all types of deployed locations. There mission is so highly demanding that they are constantly being deployed in rapid succession. They conduct mounted patrols having drivers, gunners, and truck commanders. The vehicles they use are a wide range of HUMMV's, MRAP's, and different types of 2-5 tons . You would also do many dismounted foot patrols, and conduct LPOP's for intell reasons. Every member is required to maintain all weapon qualifications. The weapons used by the members at this base range from the; M4, M9, M16, M203 attachment, M2- 50cal, M240b, and the M249. Your snipers have their weapons, and a few select would be efficient with rocket launchers depending on the projected deployed location. Any of the 820th SFS's would be easily called AIR FORCE INFANTRY but in truth they are not classified as such....
