What is an offline storage device?

It's the same as Removable storage.

It must be physically inserted into a system every time a user wants to access or edit data. Offline storage can be any type of internal or external storage that can easily be removed from the computer. The data stored in offline storage remains permanently in the storage device even if it's disconnected or unplugged from the computer after the data has been stored. Offline storage is generally portable in nature and can be used on different computer systems. Common examples of offline storage include floppy disks, compact disks and USB sticks.

What is flash suppress or muzzle break?

Answermuzzle brakes are additions to a firearms normal barrel that are intended to reduce the recoil felt by the shooter by redirecting the expanding gases as they exit the barrel. Muzzle brakes have many different designs with varying effectiveness (some up to 60% reduction in felt recoil). The draw backs of muzzle brakes are: one in redirecting the gases they also redirect the shockwave which can then be felt by the shooter, The flash from the muzzle is also spread out possibly causing some loss of vision (mostly in low light, like someone shining a powerful flashlight in you face), the brake can redirect sound towards the shooter as well, also the redirected gases can stir up dirt and debris (especially in prone positions).

flash suppressors do just what their name implies supress the flash created by the gasses exiting the barrel. The idea is to capture and diffuse or redirect the gases and thus redirect the light created by the ignited propellant. The goal is to make it hard for people down range of the shooter to locate his or her position by seeing the flash from the barrel. This is most commonly used on tactical or law enforcement rifles, but many civillians use them for various reasons, including aesthetics.

neither of these reduces sound but some can redirect sound, again trying to make it hard to locate the shooter. Muzzle brakes and flash suppressors are not cheap, and many require attachment by a professional gunsmith. There are also integrated muzzle brakes and flash suppressors, the best example that i have seen is made by nor cal precision.

Is it possible to fix a USB Im not very techy so i dont know the correct term but the silver connector thing got bent ive pulled it apart and the chip looks fine is it possible to retrieve?

I don't know if you are talking about the USB port in your computer or the USB plug itself. If the USB port in the computer the only fix is to replace your mother board. The work around for this is there's usually multiple USB ports on each motherboard so you can just use another port. If the plug itself... I'm sorry you are going to have to replace the device. I hope it's not a thumb drive with information you haven't backed up on it.

Where can you obtain a Foley stat lock?

http://www.statlock.com/service.html is the website for statlock they should be able to assist you in finding a local vendor. For reasons known only to the idiots who make laws, this product can only be purchased on the order of a physician. In other words, get a prescription and expect the usual red tape. These are some of the most useful devices ever created and have lots of uses beyond the medical profession, they have no needles, sharp edges, and come packaged in a sterile container. God only knows how anyone is supposed to get hurt on one if purchased without a prescription. Use is very simple: The device attaches toi the skin with a self-adhesive pad. there is a channel in which the catheter sits, and a "lid" that snaps over the catheter to hold it in place and reinforces the positional integrity of the catheter in a way stronger that a suture could compare to.For long term use, skin preps or tinture of Benzoin will assist with adhesion to the skin. This is also helpful in the case of oily skin or on patients who are bed-ridden or squirm a lot. You can get almost any kind of drug on the street without a prescrition, but assistive devices like this are almost impossible tp find.

When should you use CD or Flash drive?

A CD is useful if you are going to play music in an older stereo or car. Most will have a CD player. Some newer CD players will play CD's with MP3 compressed audio, extending the play time by as much as 90%. A flash drive is useful if you want to hold more music (most flash drives hold much more than 1 Gigabyte (1024MB) of info, CD's top out at 800MB. Flash drives can also hold any type of compressed audio or higher-than-CD quality audio (higher than 16 bit, 44.1kHz).

Flash drives also have no moving parts, and are not as susceptible to extreme temperatures, scratching or moisture.

Can usb drives save videos?

You can save any files to a USB drive that you would save on any other kind of drive. Providing theres room of course.

The only problem I can forsee with videos is that flash-based USB drives usually have pretty low data-transfer speeds compared to hard drives.... The data transfer speed may not be high enough to play high-resolution video directly from it.

So if your video studders & stops, that's probably why.

What is NAND flash?

NAND Flash is a special form of Flash memory. Flash memory is a memory technology that keeps data even when the power supply is cut off; this is known as a non-volatile memory type. Flash memory can be read pretty fast, but writing to Flash memory is pretty slow compared to many other -volatile- memory technologies such as SRAM or DRAM. Flash also has a limited number of write-cycles; manufacturers typically specify something in the area of 10,000 writes for the lifetime of the part.

NAND Flash is faster than regular Flash, although the general characteristics still hold.

Flash memory is widely used in digital cameras, portable MP3 players, USB (Flash) sticks, and many other devices.
