Are vampires found in Alaska?

Why yes, Alaska is a good place for a vampires. Even though they can live anywhere they want, well living in Florida would be pretty hard, but they preferr not to be in the sun so much. Depending on how well their nevous system has devolp. If they are on of the unlucky ones, usually the older of stronger ones, it would hurt to be exposed to it somethmes causing severe headaches, because of their highly devolped nevous system. So Alaska, since we don't get much sun execpt for summer, is a good place. In the summer it all depends on where you live. Here where i live in anchorage, our summers can get pretty hot. Like 70's and 80's is the hottest, also in other places like fairbanks(really),wassilla, talketna, etc. Mosly in our area, but down in juneau and sitka area it rains ALOT ALOT! So in my option, depending on the vampire if they have a sensitivty to sun or bright light or not, Sitka or Juneau or even anywhere down in the southeast is a good place. Also i imagne in places in like Washington, or any place that rains alot. If they like rain too can be a facter, they have likes and dislikes too. SO if they hated rain, then moving to sitka would be a good idea. Also goes is they don't mind some light or heat, in the summer, and they liked the beautiful Alaska, then coming here is a good place. Except if they wanted to live in achorage, but could stand the light in the summer, then they could just go on "vacation" (If they are rich and can afford a plane ticket every year).

So what i am saying is they can live in Alaska, it all depends on the Vampire.

I hope the helps!!SOURCE:living in Alaska

~Ericka!~

Yes, actually, Alaska is a fairly good place for vampires to live because it's less sunyn than the continental US.

NO! There is no such even thing about them

If there are vampires (and there are), Alaska would be a pretty good idea for winter, but not so much for summer, since the sun is up for most of the day then. Fortunately, many parts of Alaska are very cloudy, which undoubtedly helps.

As for whether or not I know of any being there for sure, I'm afraid I don't.

Alright, another myth correction: We do not suffer in any way from the sun. Just like humans if you stay inside for too long then you become pale, and the sun will harm your skin, also like humans if you stay in darkness too long then your eyes hurt when exposed to light. Now, the reason some vampires are pale is because they have stayed inside for so long, in fear of persecution; and there eyes hurt more because they can see in the dark and don't need light when hiding away- so being able to see in the darkest of dark, there eyes "burn" more when exposed to light. The myths must of picked up on the word "burn" and exaggerated it to mean that we are harmed by it mythically- by our skin burning, or our skin sparkling. I have no idea how you people came up with this crap, but it's a little amusing... sparkling vampires! Ha!lol! So to explain why people believe vampires to only come out on cloudy days and dark nights that's why. ok? Oh, and the Alaska thing? They can live anywhere anytime- remember i said "some" vampires are pale- not all are afraid of humans and actually blend in pretty well. me for an example: I'm pretty tan, i get sunburns every time i go to the beach, then my sunburns turn tan, lol. But do you get what I'm saying?: Not all vampires depend on the cold and darkness- They can live anywhere. ~DZAir

Ok, I agree with DZAir and this is coming from an actual vampire (trust me, you have NO idea!). BTW... you can (somewhat) tell if a person is a vampire; 1. they lick their lips far too often. 2. they tend to lose their patience REALLY quickly.

Older vampires (As in, more VERY long time ago) vampires can fly like bats. Unfortunatly, more modern vampires (as in, me - but I knew Ceaser... wierd) can not fly, despite what anyone else tells you. Frankly, I'm glad I can not fly - I'm afraid of heights, go figure! Vampires are living (well, not technically speaking) beings living (again, we do not live) among you and I. As far as biting goes, I haven't bitten anyone yet. - Luke

@DZAir I agree humans have watched about forty too many "Dracula" movies

DZ or Luke, is there anyway i might contact you for information? Im FROM Alaska. -Karma

Do moths bite?

No, moths do not bite.="h2headingh2"style="color:rgb(0,0,0);"name="no,_moths_do_not_bite.">Moth larvae have mouths so they can eat things, like the old clothes in your attic.

Moths may not have teeth, but they do burn. I had one land on my leg, and all of a sudden it felt like I was burned. I thought it was a coincidence, but when it landed on my leg again, I felt the burn again. It may be something like a house fly, if you are a little sweaty, and one lands on you, you can feel the sting.

How long do vampires live?

Generally, the age that a vampire lives to varies depending on certain factors within the specific vampire's life. For example, vampires that drink human blood on a regular basis are more likely to live a long, fulfilled life. But if a vampire drinks animal blood or, blood supplies that aren't fresh from a human, then this could dramatically shorten its life.

Vampires are prone to numerous diseases, including those from their victims.

So, vampires' lifespans vary, much like a human's, with no definite length. The vampires existing today are not more than 700 or 800 years old.

--

(Note) Since human vampires are fictional creations, the actual lifespan can be as long as the author decides. However, as "living dead" creatures, vampires are usually depicted as immortal, or living at least a few centuries.

Where did vampires first exist?

Some believe that the first vampire myths originated from China, where vampires did not bite, but touched their victims instead, and sought chi, as opposed to blood.

The modern incarnation of vampires is normally considered 15th century Transylvania, in Romania, during the life of Prince Vlad III (1431-1476), also known as Vlad Tepes (the Impaler), whose family name Dracul is applied to the fictional Count Dracula.

Abraham "Bram" Stoker (8 November 1847 - 20 April 1912) was an Irish novelist and short story writer, best known today for his 1897 horror novel 'Dracula'. Some believed that was where the whole idea of the people that sucked blood and lived in coffins came from.

There is also the story of Hungarian Countess Elizabeth Bathory (Báthory Erzsébet 1560-1614) who is said to have believed she could remain young by bathing in other women's blood. So her husband and four other conspirators invited unsuspecting women to their house, then chopped them up to provide blood for the countess to bathe in. The total number of victims was said to be over 650. Other sources simply ascribe the murders to sadism.

Why are vampires not allowed in the sun?

By traditional folklore, vampires do not tolerate sunlight very well. As creatures of the dark, they function best when the sun is not out. In the novel Dracula, the Count could move around in daylight, but he was much weaker. In some folklore, exposing a vampire to sunlight would cause them to burst into flames or wither away. In the Twilight series, they stay out of the sun because their skin sparkles in the sun and would give away their secret to others who saw them. Even for them, enough sunlight would kill them.

Do Vampires Have A Reflection?

No stupid read a vampire book for once!

no

Vampires actually do have a reflection. It is just that some vampires avoid mirrors because a visual confrontation as to what they have become is bothersome. It from such aversions and negative reactions to mirrors that the myth of a non-reflection has evolved.

All the mirrors in Count Dracula's castle were covered but apparently this was not done by the count -- probably by one of his 'vampire brides'.
