you need to remove the clock and two bulbs in the back (halfords 509t)
to remove the clock. take out the two blower vents. there are two screws behind undo these and the clocks off.

I have a 99 t reg 1800cc vectra,so im gussing yours is the same model.When you lift the bonet you will see the (prob silver)cam cover,either end of the cover are 2 bolts...you will require an Allen key to remove them....once removed the top of the cover can be taken off,giving you access to the plugs...PS you will need a socket extention bar to reach them...hope this helps you
Vauhall vectra 2.2 petrol timing belt or timing chain?
I had a 2001 Vectra B 2.2 SRI 150 and that was chain driven rather than a belt, if you hear the engine rattle stop driving it immediately and tow it to a garage as they are renowned for snapping. Mine snapped and was going to cost more than the car was worth to replace so ended up in car heaven. Hope this helps.
How do you pull of front discs on a vauxhall vectra 1.8sri?
Jack the car up and secure on axle stands etc. Remove the road wheel. Remove the pad retaining wire clip with pliers. Remove the 2 plastic caps at the rear of the brake caliper, then the two 7mm Allen bolt sliders. Pull the caliper with the pads forward and away from the disc. Then remove the 2 larger Allen bolts securing the caliper carrier to the hub. Now remove the 5mm Allen bolt securing the disc to the hub and give the edge of the disc a bash with a rawhide mallett etc and it should come straight off.

Hi you can't reset the brake pad warning light, you need to refit old pad wear indicator wire into slot on bottom of inner pad, and feed wire through, re connect it and should be good, or you can pick up new set of wire quite cheap, so just replace and do the same as above, thanks claire

How do you change a vectra car battery?
If it is a B series remove battery leads negative first - then the positive lead +. The battery is on the passenger side of vehicle under bonnet you may have to remove the fues holder it has two clips use a plain screwdriver and lift up unit after depressing clips, with out the way there is a retaining plate nearest you at front of battery a small bolt is removed and plate comes away allowing you to lift battery out. Reffitting is in reverse order connect negative lead last -. Just fitted new battery to my daughters 02 Vectra bolt sheared so had to remove battery holder drill out broken bolt and replace bit of a pest but hey isn't that what dads are for. Good luck. (I am an old retired Motor Engineer)
