Vauxhall Vectra

I have a 52 vectra and on mine it means that brake pads are low. There is a sensor on front nearside.

In the V between the engine blocks and under the plenums.It is a COMMON source of coolant leaks.

Usually the cam belt should be changed every 60,000 miles

If it is a 1.9 td it is a cambelt. If it either a 2.0 citd or a 2.2 citd engine should be a camchain. If you dont know engine size look under bonnett at cover of cambelt/chain area and if it is plastic it will be a belt but if it is alloy it is a chain. Hope this helps

The plastic sliders on the end of the regulator wear, and eventually break. The whole unit needs to be replaced, as they are not a separate item as I understand.

This means spending over £100- for a couple of pence worth of plastic, (what a brilliant idea, well done Vauxhal, NOT)

What model gearbox is in a vauxhall corsa 1.4 16v petrol 98 reg F13 or F15

take out glove box up on right hand you,ll see a wiring plug going into a white plastic connection take that out this is the solenoid which needs replaced this si for the blowers if that,s your problem hope that helps

To remove the headlight unit from Vauxhall Vectra SRI 1999, first remove the cover and disconnect the wires by pulling outwards. Push each side of the pin outwards until it releases. Then remove the headlight unit.

Lock stuck or cable broken. You will need to get into the boot space throught the back seat and remove as much trim as needed until you can see the lock then open it from there manually.

The MAP sensor on the Vectra 2ltr Ecotech is situated on the large black rubber piping flex at the 10 o'clock position from the normal open-bonnet-looking-at-the-car position.

It may mean your power steering fluid is low, or needs serviced.

can u get a bushing for ur cam shaft pulley ? or do ya buy ful thing

The clutch slave cylinder on a Vectra,is described by Vauxhall as a central release assembly.The release bearing and hydraulic cylinder are a common unit which are replaced together,I don't think any service parts are available.It is secured to the gearbox with 3 bolts and the pressure pipe.Unfortunately you have to remove the whole transmission for access.

vzuxhall service interval for cambelt is 100,000 miles or 10 years whichever occurs first. But i would always recommend 60,000 miles or 4 years.

on engines that are used mainly for short stop start journeys reduce this by as much as 40% or every three years.

engines that are actually made by Fiat im not sure on so please check with the local main dealer.It costs nothing to ask.

You might not have to replace the entire linkage. I went to Chrysler Part Dept. and picked up a bag of the nylon or plastic clips that goes on the ends of the linkage where it connects to the other moving parts. They just clip on to a stud and into a hole. (The right side wiper linkage came off where it hooks to the wiper arm. they get brittle and break apart after a few decades.) To get to them, remove the plastic panel that sets under the rear of the hood. Then remove a couple of plastic screens that cover the ends of the linkage. After some cuts and scrapes that result in about half a pint of blood loss, your wipers should work as good as new. P.S. My Lebaron was an 89. Hopefully they didn't change that much......

the idle valve on my 96 vectra is located on the throttle body i should think its the same on yours anyway first take off the thick pipe going from the air box to the carb tie it back so you can get at the idle valve then take off the elecrical connector going onto the idle valve undo the 2 alun screws holding the idle control valve to the throttle body theres 1 on the top and 1 on the bottem take the valve off and give it a good spray with choke and carb cleaner wipe with a cloth and refit should do the trick if engine is idling to fast or cutting out

A 2005 Zafira with a 2.2 petrol engine has a timing belt which connects the camshaft and crankshaft. Timing chains are used on older vehicles but are rarely used in newer vehicles.

i have a vectra as well, the only way i figured out was to remove the traction control/abs fuse, but in doing that it also is the fuse for the speedometer, so a bit of a problem there
