Okay so i got a used Verizon Chocolate from someone and i was wondering how i can flash it to cricket??? any1 know how??

i wanted to do that before but my uncle said it doesnt have an esn like cricket, but an Msid or soemthing (whatever the other one is)

I think you mean meid? MSID is something else that is part of the account's provisioning.

You need to convert the MEID to a Pesn then the dec to hex
then call cricket and give them the hex and dec esn
load prl on phone and activate it

you will figure it out
It can be done
I opened the door now you just need to walk in and look around haha something like that

If you have the latest software for the VX-8500 (Chocolate) if you access the service programming menu it will show you the ESN. You can do this by pressing OK, 0, and then type in 000000 for the Service Code - hit 1 for Service Program and it will show you the ESN in HEX I believe. http://www.elfqrin.com/esndhconv.HTML - That link will let you convert from HEX to DEC.
If that doesn't give it to you you can also get it by getting to Services menu (menu after you hit 000000) and hit 2 for Field Tests. Go to the very last option which says MEID info currently but I don't remember it saying that on the old software - so you'll have to feel your way around a little bit if this is the route you have to go.

you don't believed me huh i did so many of this LG already. If you want to use the chocolate with cricket you have to write prl to write prl you have to connect it to computer then use LG download to write PRL in LG download it will show the esn on the top right corner. just copy that and go to the site that i posted above and converter to dec simple. There you go now you have both hex and dec to activate. He make it so complicate because he make a living with those. When you ask him he just running around don't want to show to straight. OTA what ESN or PRL. I think the problem is the ESN is not except in cricket system we were talking how to get the esn, because chocolate esn are wired. I belived not only the chocolate but most of the new LG are like that. I know after you register the esn with cricket yes you can OTA to program your phone and update PRL. And thank you for helping amoamare. Please help anyway you can i know you make a living but how many people in this forum are live in the same town with you so don't worry about make a living. You help everybody, everybody help you it a fair game. And also thank you octobclrnts, sorry if i said something wrong. Let help everybody. Let help each other and make a better world.

i have never been able to get the cricket over the air without first writing the prl to the phone but cricket ask for a meid dec it is a sixteen digit number just goto Google and typ meid to esn converter pick the first one type your meid and write down the meid dec i just did this yesterday and didnt even have to *228 i had already entered my min and mdn manually and changed wap and mms, my only problem is now when i go into my camera to take a picture it wont take no matter how many times you try it will still record video but no pictures anythoughts on what could be causing this

lingovx: go to the security menu and do a reset default. it will most likely fix your camera bug. It took me weeks to figure that one out a while back.

To get ESN fro the Chocolate use Unicdma and read the information it will show you ESN in Hex and use HEX to DEC converter here http://www.elfqrin.com/esndhconv.HTML to conver to dec. If you bring your phone to a dealer to do ask them to write down the ESN for you too. Have fun if you guy have any question about flashing phone. I flash so many phone that i can't even remember to count I'll help you anyway i can because "human knowgled's belong to the world".

you don't believed me huh i did so many of this LG already. If you want to use the chocolate with cricket you have to write prl to write prl you have to connect it to computer then use LG download to write PRL in LG download it will show the esn on the top right corner. just copy that and go to the site that i posted above and converter to dec simple. There you go now you have both hex and dec to activate. He make it so complicate because he make a living with those. When you ask him he just running around don't want to show to straight. OTA what ESN or PRL. I think the problem is the ESN is not except in cricket system we were talking how to get the esn, because chocolate esn are wired. I belived not only the chocolate but most of the new LG are like that. I know after you register the esn with cricket yes you can OTA to program your phone and update PRL. And thank you for helping amoamare. Please help anyway you can i know you make a living but how many people in this forum are live in the same town with you so don't worry about make a living. OTA activation will not work in all cricket markets to download the prl.

i have never been able to get the cricket over the air without first writing the prl to the phone but cricket ask for a meid dec it is a sixteen digit number just goto Google and typ meid to esn converter pick the first one type your meid and write down the meid dec i just did this yesterday and didnt even have to *228 i had already entered my min and mdn manually and changed wap and mms, my only problem is now when i go into my camera to take a picture it wont take no matter how many times you try it will still record video but no pictures anythoughts on what could be causing this

lingovx: go to the security menu and do a reset default. it will most likely fix your camera bug. It took me weeks to figure that one out a while back.
