I have had two dogs treated from vets with vicodin. One with hip displysia the other with arthritis.Never never NEVER give a dog a medication meant for humans unless the vet tells you to. It could kil them.
FYI: My vet is giving my dog, and not large at that, small amounts of vicodin to control chronic pain. While some human medications can be both harmful in humans and animals when misused, they can also have benefits.
