The Vikings lived in Scandinavia (mainly Norway, Sweden and Denmark), and in Iceland.

They ventured (and proliferated) as far as Italy and the Mediterranean, but more commonly sailed to Ireland, Northern France, England, and even North America. They sometimes roamed Europe, Asia, and the North Atlantic Islands.

In 600 A.D. to 1000 A.D., the Vikings lived across Europe. They lived in Iceland, Norway, Greenland, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and the Faroe Islands.

The first recorded Viking invasion of England was in 793 AD. The last invasion of England by this group was in 1066.

The Vikings used their long boats as cargo vessels. Since these boats were seaworthy and had a shallow enough draft to go far up rivers, the Vikings could trade, or raid, all along the coasts and navigable rivers of Europe.

The Vikings are remembered primarily as raiders in France and England, but primarily as traders in parts of Eastern Europe. Their routes went as far as Constantinople, where numbers of them were hired as personal bodyguards for emperors.

The Vikings actually got a lot of their fashion ideas from ancient Chinese soldiers with their horned helmets and heavy armor.. the vikings wore little mirrors on their clothes to check their hair and makeup all the time too.. sounds weird but it's true.. they wanted to be sure they looked like nothing anyone had ever seen before so their enemies would be afraid to fight them. The ancient Chinese warriors killed plenty of vikings.. and showed them how to play black metal music.. face it Vikings are just trying to be Chinese.. and Ensiferum and Finsterforst knows that.
