When DNS server responds and IP address is known, computer starts TCP 3 way handshake (establishing connection with a Server where requested page is stored). How do you get on airg on coms?

Want to use AirG Chat on the Computer? This answer was found on: http://im.about.com/od/imformobilephones/a/airg-chat-on-computer.htm

If you want to get on AirG on your PC, you will need Firefox, XHTML Mobile Profile and Preferences Menu plugins. Then, select Preferences > Spoof As > Keep Out, and enter "Msnmobile.airg.ca" as the address. You can then sign in as normal.

If you update to FireFox 3.6, the preference plug for the pref button WILL NOT work. Make sure you keep it to 3.5 to make it work.

While this has worked for a while now, it appears that today this method stopped working. Now using the above settings, the site will reload to the regular non mobile version of airg.

Today, there are as many browsers as there are countries and as many customization options as there are people. However, most mainstream browsers fall into one of four categories:

-"Light" Browsers (Usually with no more features than a tab bar, these are focused on speed and old computer support)

-Full Browsers (Tons of customization options and features, can be very heavy on RAM, most people use these, a new-ish computer is needed)

What factors are used to assess a website?

File types can influence a websites performance, and also how converting formats can improve the performance. The type of applications that you use on your site such as (flash, java etc.) and whether plug-ins is available. Intense graphics, music - loading time will slow

There are many different factors which can affect the performance of a website. It's important to have a fast server. If the host has a slow server then it will take longer for the server to send HTML cods between the computers, it also helps for the end user to have an efficient computer. For example if you have many images on your web site and the end user has a slow computer then it will take longer to load and the user may deicide to switch to another web site. Increased technology has contributed to the complexity of many tasks performed in the workplace, making it difficult for employees to complete their work independently. In response to the technological advances, many organizations have adopted a team approach to work. Teams are viewed as being more suitable for complex tasks because they allow members to share the workload, monitor the work behaviours of other members, and develop and

Contribute expertise on subtasks.

Another factor is the applications on your website. If you have a lot of special effects on your web site then again it will take longer to load. For example if you used an image which moves and created by java or flash then it will take longer to load also if the user doesn't have the software on his or hers PC then it may not even load.

Its important to have a web address which matches your website because if not then people may find it difficult to find your website, it's a good idea to register your site to well known search engines like Google.

Also it's important to make sure your web site is compatible with more then one web browser like internet explore from Microsoft but also lesser known browsers like Firefox or opera.

A lot of images are Bitmap or vector before coming onto a web site. This is because these files are normally large and take a lot of space. So web designers convert a lot of their images to JPEG. JPEG files are good because they can be compressed to nearly any size with out losing a lot of the image quality. Any sound on a website like background music can use file types like WAV or MP3, MP4, WAV can hold compress audio files which is good for a website because it uses less space then the MP3 and MP4. Also WAV is the standard audio file type for Linux and windows.

What are browser Clients and what do they do?

Browser Clients are one of Two things: First off a regular Client browser is a program you use to surf the Web. Such as Opera, Internet Explorer or Firefox. This can sometimes be simply refered to as a Client. The second use of the term i have heard is a program such as a java applet which downloads from a website onto your computer through your browser to run a network application. This is called browser client because the client software starts up and requires the browser to work correctly. One such example of this could be a Yahoo Games style interface, where they have you click ona link a new window opens up and downloads part of the game which runs out of your browser.

Is there a website where you can type in a word and it will give you a sentence?

Examples of websites that provide example sentences are:

  • in-a-sentence.com
  • most of the on-line dictionaries give example sentences with each of their definitions.

Just type in the word you want used in a sentence and example sentences will be provided. Use more than one site to look for examples, each site has good examples and not such good examples. Many words have more than one meaning or can be more than one part of speech, so always check a dictionary to verify which part of speech or which definition you want to use.
