if you just want a house westie, the easiest way to groom a westie is to shave it. be sure to shave all the hair off the tail BUT leave all the hair under limbs and tummy. brush the longer hair weekly. Shave leaving 1/2-1 inch of fur left and only shave up to the ear line on the head. to cut fur on the head, only cut the fur on the ears, cut a 60 % angle as close as you can to the ear. cut all fur between toes. dont let the jaw line get TO shaggy, though, there should be 3-5 inches of fur all over the face.
