Who made phones?

Take a look at this answer:

"

Alex bell of Scotland, Great Britain, on March 7th 1876 patent was granted, at that time he resided in Salem, Massachusetts. Alexander Graham Bell invented his telephone as a result of his research into improving the telegraph system. He was experimenting into improving the system so multiple telegraphs could be sent at the same time (his theory "harmonic telegraph" was based on the principle that several notes could be sent simultaneously along the same wire if the different signals differed in pitch). However at the same time he was working on a novel idea that speech could be transmitted electronically as he discovered by accident that the sound of a spring being twanged could be heard over his harmonic telegraph system. Almost a year later in March 1876 Bell uttered the first famous words into the device to his assistant in the next room "Mr. Watson, come here I want to see you". A Black man, Lewis Lattimerinvented the moving parts of the telephone, along with a whole host of other products not among least the filament for the electric light bulb. Alexander Graham Bell does not and has never held a Patent for the invention of the telephone. Alexander Grahm Bell holds the patent for being the first to mass producethe telephone. When Lewis Lattimer was born, Black people were property and therefore could not have achievements, some whites would have been outraged. Alexander Grahm bell and Thomas Edison patented many of Lattimer's inventions in their own name and a check of the US patent office will confirm that Lewis Lattimer did in fact invent the telephone, electric filament aka electric light bulb, electric iron and an entire host of other things. Some say Alexander Graham Bell stole the idea from another person. Antonio Meucci, 1860. Despite the persistent claims of modern revisionists defending Alexander Graham Bell, it is a certain fact that both Antonio Meucci first, then followed by Elisha Gray, had successfully invented telephones before Alexander Graham Bell did in 1876. More importantly, the United States Congress in 2002 passed a resolution stating that given the facts of patent disputes between Gray and Bell, under no terms could Alexander Graham Bell have been awarded the patent caveat for the telephone by the United States Patent and Trademark Office in 1876. Given what we know now, the "real" inventor of the telephone is in fact, Antonio Meucci. However, the person who "commercialized" the telephone was Alexander Graham Bell."

What is GFSK technique?

An FSK Modulator is much the same as a GFSK Modulator ,but GFSK uses a Gaussian filter as well. In a GFSK modulator everything is the same as a FSK modulator except that before the baseband pulses (-1, 1) go into the FSK modulator, it is passed through a gaussian filter to make the pulse smoother so to limit its spectral width.

What to say when you parents ask who your texting?

Well from my personal experience, it really depends on how your parents feel about texting people of the opposite gender. If they are ok with it and they don't really care then just tell them who it is. But if your parents would freak out about it then you could always tell them your texting your best friend! But i would not recommend lying to your parents because i guarantee that they will find out one way or another.

Hope it helps :)

What does it mean your friend's girlfriend keeps texting you and asking how you are does it mean she likes you?

How long can you be late on your cell phone bill before they disconnect it?

Most companies will give you ten days to pay it, then they'll send reminders etc. They'll usually suspend or disconnect you within a month. If you're having difficulty paying a bill - TALK to them ! They'd much rather reach a compromise than lose you as a customer !

Why do Two Way Radios have interference?

Two way radios have both a transmitter and a receiver so that they may send and receive signals beween units, in both directions. They operate on assigned frequencies within various areas of the radio bands, or spectrum. When a receiver is assigned to operate on a specific frequency, it ideally would just receive that frequency alone. It would be perfectly selective and only receive signals on that assigned frequency, and reject all others. But no device is perfect, therefore it receives 'mostly' on the assigned frequency, and somewhat on the frequencies adjacent to the one assigned. Thus if there is an unwanted signal on a frequency nearby the desired one, it will also be received, but to a lesser extent than the desired signal. (this assumes they are of equal strength). This undesired reception of adjacent signals is one form of interference, and the stronger that undesired signal is, the more it may tend to disrupt reception of the desired signal. There may also be signals on the exact same frequency as your desired signal, and depending on the relative strength of the desired vs the un desired, interference may occur.

How does ionized radiation induce chromosome damage?

There are two models, essentially, that radiobiologists use to explain this phenomena of ionizing radiation damage to cells. One is direct target theory, which explains both chromosome damage and cell death, the other is indirect action, which is associated more with cell death. Direct target theory assumes that the ionizing radiation interacts with the cellular macromolecule, such as DNA or RNA, breaking the electron bonds (hence, ionizing), and causing disruption or change in the biologic function of that molecule. Sometimes this damage can be repaired, sometimes the damage is fatal to the cell. If the ionizing occurs in the DNA molecule, which is the structural component of the chromosome, the damage may change the chromosomal function, and if the cell lives, may be passed on to the offspring as genetic mutation. Please note however that any observed mutations are the same mutations one would see in the population naturally. Unlike the movies, radiation induced mutations aren't determined by the type of mutation, but determined by the occurance of exposure to radiation. Indirect action occurs when the water in the cell is ionized, creating free radicals, which further create hydrogen peroxide and oxygen in the cell. This chemical molecule in the cell typically kills the cell. Of the two methods of interaction, the indirect method is thought to occur most often. Gregory G. Passmore, Ph.D., CNMT

What does unlocked NR mean on mobile phone?

Hi, it just mean... nothing!

I can guess you have been facing such writing on shopping sites, especially on the ones dealing with auctions like eBay. Right?

In fact, you should translate: unlocked (for use with any operator network) and no reserve (price). So you would get an unlocked phone while bidding under no reserve price conditions :)

I have been also looking for an relevant explanation on dedicated forums for long. No one could shed some light on this "unlocked NR": unlocked with No Restrictions for any network? Unlocked with No Reserve for any network?

So I asked to two eBay sellers, having offers including such "unlocked NR". Both replied the same: "unlocked to any network and no reserve price"!

What is the difference in the usefulness of upper-sideband and lower sideband transmission?

There's no difference in their usefulness, and no basis for any preference on

the part of the transmitting party. There's an advantage to the receiving party,

however, if he can coordinate with the transmitting party. The advantage of

having a choice is that you can choose whichever mode encounters less

interference, and you can switch 'on the fly' if the congestion/interference

environment changes.

Upper sideband may be somewhat more difficult to receive clearly. This isn't a

technical issue, though. It's just sometimes harder for the operator behind the

tuning knob to tune it clearly, and slightly-mistuned upper sideband is harder to

understand than slightly-mistuned lower sideband is, because the frequencies

in the voice are inverted relative to each other.
