An hour went by and still nothing, and now today I still cant receive anything. others can get my texts but I cant see their message on my phone. Is it my battery? the Satellite from virgin mobile? or is it my phone completely?

Are cell phones dangerous?

Yes, Larry King on Larry King Live hosted an entire show on the dangers of Cell phone usage.

This is an interesting debate. Most of today's cell phones transmit at 250milliwatts (1/4 of a watt). At this very low power it would take an eon to damage a human being.

On another note however, the way celfones are being misused are more dangerous than the debated effects of the radiation it emits. A lot of road accidents specially involving teens are related to cell phone misuse.

What is fixed TDMA?

If each user in a "cellular" system is assigned a particular FIXED slot, at which he can transmit, it is said to be FIXED TDMA. If the load is heavy only for a certain number of users, it becomes highly inefficient .

So , we go for dynamic TDMA .

One nice question is , what does the throughput for a fixed TDMA system look like for different sizes of packets. Try answering it, using the theory I just provided.

What does near line of sight means?

It means just below the visual horizon. Although light waves can't see below the horizon, radio waves can, a bit.

Is it cheating if your fiance has his ex's work home and cell numbers programmed in his phone under a man's name?

I don't know if that's cheating, but there's an obvious trust issue between the two of you. He doesn't trust that you won't look through his phone listings, and you don't trust that he's being faithfull. You may want to invest your time into some couples counseling, which can be very beneficial in helping to talk through issues like this. Otherwise, I'd invest my time into moving on, because the foundation here is pretty rocky.

How do you deal with consistent repetitive phone calls from the same person?

Tell your phone company. They will change your number for no charge.

If you don't want to change your number, keep a record of the phone calls, time they came in and duration of call. Notify the phone company and it will advise you on filing a criminal complaint against the other person for harassment and perhaps block that phone number from calling you. But for either action, you'll need some kind of history of the harassing calls as a basis for the criminal complaint or the block.

Why is communication a process?

Communication is a process because it requires two people to work together. One person needs to listen actively and intently, while the other person needs to talk and convey their meaning clearly. It is a back and forth process of listening and talking.
