We always have yeast in our body, you just need to keep the growth in balance. A yeast infection is caused by an over growth of Candida, this yeast can migrate out from the intestinal tract. Any warm, moist areas on our body is everything yeast needs to thrive and make you miserable. If the scrotum or penis are involved, the most likely agent is Candida albicans, the same type of yeast that causes vaginal yeast. Jock itch is more common in men than yeast infections, it affects the genitals, inner thighs and buttocks but not the scrotum or penis.
There are a lot of things that cause yeast infections; low immune systems, hormones, low thyroid and diabetics are very prone to yeast infections. Garlic is one of the best things to take to prevent yeast infections. Taking two enteric-coated garlic capsules daily with 4,000 milligrams of allicin-alliin (which is the anti-fungal/ anti-yeast agent found in garlic.) the coating prevents the active ingredients in garlic from breaking down in the stomach and will prevent the garlic breath some people get with regular garlic tabs.
