Why? I mean, I guess you could if you really needed to, but you can buy a case of fluid from pretty much any drug store, convenience store, or grocery store. I would recommend using the fluid that is made for it rather than anything else. If you can't find it at the store, ask someone who works there if they have it.
However you do have to be 18 at many places to buy it, so I hope that's not a problem...

But a 1935 lighter should not have the letters indicating the month. Zippo didn't start using the letter system until 1986. Sorry but the lighter can't be a genuine 1935 if it has a letter and number on the bottom.
