Bolivia

The landlocked Plurinational State of Bolivia is a South American neighbor of Peru, Paraguay, Chile, Brazil, and Argentina. The Bolivian city of La Paz is the world's highest capital. Contributions typically raise questions about the country's ancient Aymara and Incan imperial past; extreme geography of rain forests, mountains, highlands, and lowlands; subsistence lifestyle despite vast mineral resources; and violent politics.

What do you call the people from Bolivia in Spanish?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The three largest indigenous groups of Bolivia are the Aymara, Quechua and Guarani, although in Bolivia there are nearly 30 native indigenous groups including the Moxeños, Sirionó, Uru Uru, Tiahuanacotas and others. Many people think Bolivians are descendants of the Inca. The Inca, from further North than the territory now occupied by Bolivia, moved down into the area and defeated the Aymara, assimilating and mixing with them, which is why the Aymara often describe themselves as descendants of the Inca.

The people of Bolivia are not all indigenous, however. Most are mestizo (a mix of races or nationalities. Even those who identify with Aymara or Quechua descent are mostly mestizo). There are many descendants of Spanish (most Bolivians have some Spanish ancestry), Germans, Jewish, Swiss, Italians, Americans, Canadians, Brazilians, Lebanon, Japan, Korea, China, and more.

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Bolivians have fun much like other countries do. Going out for pizza, going to movies, or just walking around the prado are some of things that people do in some of the major cities. On Saturday nights there are "Pena's", which are dinner and a show of local Bolivian music dancing and entertainment. Bolivians like to be with friends and family and sometimes sitting around a large table, playing cards or just chatting and laughing, is most often as pure and rewarding as any other activity for fun.

What is the coldest temperature in Bolivia?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

73.5 degrees

Another reply: Despite its relatively small size, Bolivia has a wide variety of climate zones, so it is misleading, at best, to talk about "average temperature". We have tropical regions, where the maximum temperature can go up to 35 or 40 degrees (centigrade) during the day, and (during part of the year) you would sleep at night without a cover; and other regions (high in the mountains) where, even in midsummer, you don't want to go out on the street after sunset.

That is wrong. 73.5 degrees is right.
