F*a*g*s is a slang term for tobacco cigarettes. Tobacco cigarettes are Probably the most dangerous legal substance a person can consume. They are a leading cause of cancer. Cannabis can be dangerous, but, nowhere near as dangerous as tobacco. The Number one reason tobacco is legal in the USA and marijuana is not is because of Money. The rich tobacco companies, (and the people who smoke and chew tobacco), keep it legal. Money interests keep marijuana illegal. I am not saying you should smoke marijuana, (unless it's for medical purposes), however tobacco is Far more dangerous than marijuana.

Tar causes cancer because it contains a number of harmful chemicals and hazardous gases that are very bad for the environment. It is especially bad for children.

It can affect relationships in a number of ways. It certainly makes you smell sort of bad, and also a lot of people will not date a smoker (and if they do, they often try to get them to stop). It can cause people around you to become disappointed in you once you start, and some people may downright avoid you because they hate the smell and being around it that much. When you're out in public, expect to be treated like a second-class citizen; people will scrunch their noses at you, talk down to you, and overall develop a ''holier-than-thou'' attitude toward you. There really isn't an equivalency because of the way they're smoked. When you smoke cigarettes you inhale, so you get all the good carbon monoxide and other fun chemicals in your lungs, and into your blood. Plus, cigarette smoke is acidic and it seems that pH affects the addictive quality of nicotine.

Because people still smoke and the U.S. and Canada are free countries (so we've been told.) Stores can't sell cigarettes to 18 years and under and if caught could be shut-down. The very governments in both countries loved the revenue tobacco sales brought in and were fully aware of the carcinogens the tobacco companies were putting into what was once pure tobacco and now the governments are taking the heat off themselves trying to blame the tobacco companies or putting the heat on smokers.

You constantly smell like an walking ashtray. It permeates all your clothing, the interior of your cars, your house ... everything. It's very unpleasant to have a conversation with a smoker - their breath stinks and it is almost gagging to a non smoker.

Smoking can leave you more breathless when doing any physical activity like jogging. Easy way to stop smoking is to:

1) To cut down smoking.

2) Do not have a cigarette first thing in morning (try to wait at least 30 minutes).

3) Do not have a cigarette after a meal, having sexual intercourse, and other times

when you'll enjoy it the most. Again wait at least 30 minutes.

4)Set a quit date and than stick to it.

The effects are serious. You get addicted to the tobacco and other ingredients in them. Then it is highly likely you will get lung cancer, mouth cancer, throat cancer, heart disease, or emphysema. These are long term effects if you last that long. The short term effects are getting a coated "hairy" tongue, bad breath, constant cough and phlegm, clothes and hair that smell awful, and yellow teeth!
