What could be causing an offensive odor from our commode seemingly coming from under the rim even after thorough cleaning with an abrasive cleaner with bleach?

That offensive odor could be coming from the tank. Drain the water from the tank, and clean it with an appropriate cleaner. Certain methods of cleaning may not require you to drain the water. If cleaning the tank is unsuccessful, the odor may be originating from another area around the fixture. If there are any leaks from cracked seals around your commode, that could contribute, and you should call a plumber to fix the problem.

Some cleaning products are designed to lyse the cell membranes of most household bacteria. However there are all sorts of bacteria in almost every environ. Some are highly tolerant to heat, acidity, alkalinity, salinity, heat, cold, and even radiation. They exist in thermal vents, hot springs, tar pits, atomic bomb testing sites, iceburgs, mines, soils, and on almost every surface of the earth. Which paper towel is most absorbent?

Viva is the best.

In my BI-152 class as SEMO we conducted this experiment and Bounty came in second with Viva taking the top spot. We filled a beaker with exactly 100 ml of water and put one square of each brand (all cut to the same dimensions) in to the beaker for ten seconds. Then we pulled the towel out and measured what was left. We did this 5 times for each of the brands and overall, Viva was the most absorbent.

Though many people believe bounty is the best, it is actually not the best. I could explain but it would be the same thing as above. If you inspect a viva paper towel, you'll find that it's more like two paper towels with a lot of fuzz in between. That makes it absorbent.

How do you get a white out stain out of a cloth couch?

Try Goo Be Gone! It does leave a grease stain but it's much better than a white out stain and I'm sure there's a way to get the greese stain out. I did research and found out that the four best-bets for getting white out out of cloth are (in this order): 1) Goo Be Gone; 2) W-D 40; 3) rubbing alcohol; and finally 4) nail polish remover. Try them out and see what works! :-)

You damaged your wood table with Lysol Disenfectant spray It left white spots on the surface How can you remove the spots?

I found a solution!

My boyfriend put my running shoes on the kitchen table (his, not mine) and I found them this morning after he had left for work. Disgusted (we live in NYC) I immediately took to lysoling the spot. To my horror, in a matter of seconds the table's finish in the spot I was rubbing was turning a cloudy white. I spent the past 20 minutes scouring blogs for a solution and all I could find were unanswered posts such as this one. Finally, I halfheartedly tried a solution to a watermarks post and... it worked!

Mayonnaise. Take a glob of mayonnaise and rub it into the effected area. I didn't think it had worked at first and returned to my computer for more searching. When I looked back at the table 3 minutes later the white cloud was gone!!

Hope this helps!
