It is thought that most primitive animals evolved to live in the sea. Indeed the composition of the clear part of Human blood is very much like sea water. The problem comes not for animals that live in the sea but when life spread from there to fresh water and then land.

In other words, the osmotic potential of the cells and bodies of marine animals is perfectly balanced with the osmotic potential of seawater. It is only when animals moved to freshwater and land that systems and energy needed to be expended to maintain the original seawater like osmotic potential of the cells and bodies of these animals against the osmotic potential of fresh water or indeed an arid external environment.

A dolphin. A dolphin is usually made up of many wooden pilings, driven into the ground under the water that protrude up out of the water and are banded together with wire rope. There is usually one piling that is driven into the bottom and then other pilings are driven into the bottom around the center one. The center piling usually sticks up higher than the surrounding piles to allow a mooring line to be placed around it. Dolphins are usually found around docks and piers. They allow for some force to be placed against them so the ship can pivot on them depending on their size and the amount of pilings that are used.

Probably less competition for food

Angler fish get their name from the way they lure their prey. They lie on the sea floor awaiting their prey (a large amount of which is shell fish). It has a long filament on its head which resembles a wriggling worm that attracts smaller fish which its large mouth soon devours.

Sea fish eat everything that a sea star would eat. They call them sea stars because thats a more scienctific name. Sea stars and sea fish are the same thing. Answer: clams and musels

Yes they do. It is really unlikely but sharks can get past the ink that squid produces and can therefore eat it.

Scale the fish (use dull knife or the backside of sharp knife works fine to). Gut the fish and cut the head and tail off (personal choice). If you leave them on then remove the gills. If not cooking right away then you should brine them (little kosher salt and baking powder mixed with water). This will keep them from getting mushy--put them in the refrigerator (not worth freezing).

To cook simply cut gashes along the side of the fish and season with salt, pepper, and whatever else you enjoy. Grill them, broil them, or simply wrap in tin foil. They are not my first choice of fish to eat -- actually one of my last choices but did eat them in Europe on vacation there and of course they tasted better there then when I cooked them at home (must be they are well versed in cooking them).

If you want to preserve the fish meat Throw it in the frezer and it will last a long time,about a year. When I cleaned my fish I always thrower them in the freezer.the meat will probly lasts couple of hours in non-contaminated water. :)
