Why didn't foreign countries stop the Armenian genocide?

Armenian Genocide is a internationally contentious issue. While, there are several high-profile nations such as France and Switzerland which have taken a political stand on the historical factuality of the "genocide", there is no internationally accepted truth. There are political negotiations between the Turkish and Armenian governments so as to resolve the contested viewpoints in an internationally transparent forum, whereby both sides will bring forth their historical documents. However, such a forum has not taken place yet. Turkish viewpoint states that Armenian-Turkish citizens living under the jurisdiction of the Ottoman Empire (predecessor to present-day Turkey) were never the target of any genocidal campaign. This claim is supported by the historical fact that Armenian populace living in the western side of the country were not affected by any killings, deportations or internships. Armenian population were forced to relocate during the latter part of the World War One, as a result of the civil unrest in eastern Turkey caused by this population (that were relocated.) Turkish historical records indicate that Armenian-Turkish nationals had joined in the war effort of the invading Russian armies, by means of scouting, joining ranks in the said army as well as forming irregular forces. Turkish side contends that there are historical records showing such irregular forces attacking villages and cities, killing Turkish and Kurdish co-nationals within the Ottoman zone of control. Turkish side further argues that Istanbul government responded by having the Armenian-Turkish nationals relocated by force to the Arabic part of the Empire, which constitutes the present Syria and Lebanon. There are records of civilians dying in this relocation effort, caused partially by lack of nutrition during war-time shortages as well as simple neglect on the side of officials in charge. Finally, Turkish side shows historical documents proving that any army or government officials involved in this mishandling of relocation were executed following their civil trials post-war. In other words, the death of Armenian-Turkish citizens were treated with due care, and the wrong doers punished. ___ The Turkish government stubbornly refuses to admit that the Ottoman Empire committed genocide. There is plenty of evidence from non-Turkish sources.

Doesn't the supposed matrilinial system of the Seneca Indians create a genocide to children of white mothers seneca fathers?

What this system causes is the persecution and an eventual genocide though living, of innocent people, although they were promised be protected under the 'Supreme Law' the most ancient treaty, that garranteed to protect them of their aboriginal culture and lands, a garrantee that the united states was trusted, the six nations united nations. Through years of war, and the "literal" mass destruction of a misunderstood and misrepresented diverse race of people, a family, a history that has been over commercialized, told untrue, hidden to cover these miscarriages of justice. matrilinial leaves the other half of this family the children of seneca fathers and white mothers left out of their garranteed protection, as if they were invisable and do not exist as a part of any first nations family, protected under the constitution of the united states for which it was written. a genocide caused by the very law or lack of it, that was created for their protection, isn't it ironic, don't you think. These who are being alienated from their families, culture, like ripping someones soul out without actually killing them. how in America, we can deny this is still happening, for what you have done to the least of these you have done unto me, "something about being put on a census"

Was what happened to the Arabs during the Crusades genocide?

Yes and No.

The general war-portion of the Crusades does not qualify as a genocide. While it was a waste of life and led to death of numerous Arabs and Europeans who need not have died, wars to expand influence were common in the medieval period. Similarly, the Muslims fought numerous expansionary wars in Spain (700-1200 CE) and in the Balkans (1300-1600 CE).

If you wish to narrow the scope and discuss, for example, the mass-murder of the Jews and Muslims living in Jerusalem when the Crusaders conquered the city in the First Crusade, then it does qualify. It was a genocide as it involved numerous massacres of Jews and Muslims who were butchered because of their faith. When the Muslims retook the city in the Second Crusade, they let the defeated Christians leave the city peacefully, showing that a peaceful way of dealing with a possibly resistant population was available.

The Port Arthur massacre was prepetrated by a person who was a social misfit of unsound mind. What is the history behind the Rwandan genocide is it still going on and was the CIA connected?

The Rwandan genocide took place in 1994 and lasted for 100 days and approximately 10,000 people died each day. 1 million overall.

No, the CIA had nothing to do with it.

The genocide took place in the context of the Rwandan Civil War, an ongoing conflict beginning in 1990 between the Hutu-led government and the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), which was largely composed of Tutsi refugees whose families had fled to Uganda following earlier waves of Hutu violence against the Tutsi. Most of the dead were Tutsis and most of those who perpetrated the violence were Hutus. The genocide was sparked by the death of the Rwandan President Juvenal Habyarimana, a Hutu, when his plane was shot down above Kigali airport on 6 April 1994.

Why did the Armenian genocide stop?

The Armenian genocide, which took place during World War I, effectively came to an end as the Ottoman Empire collapsed and the war concluded in 1918. The defeat of the Ottomans and the subsequent establishment of the Republic of Turkey in 1923 marked a significant shift in power dynamics. International attention and pressure, along with the changing political landscape, contributed to the cessation of the systematic extermination and deportation of Armenians. However, the impact of the genocide continued to resonate in the region and remains a contentious historical issue.
