What type of government did Rousseau prefer?
Democratic---------- Who ever wrote this is wrong... about as wrong as you can be. Rousseau desired a fictional (has never existed in reality) government that ruled for community good against the General Will. He believed people were selfish and would rule in self interest. He proposed massive changes to the educational system to instill the importance of communal prosperity and to discourage self mindedness. How Rousseau's government would work is never mentioned. It is more of a social critique than a political philosophy. Rousseau is emphasizing the problems within our own judgements and minds more than the problems within governments.
(personal opinion)
--------------Rousseau was a political idiot but a social visionary with some very good ideas regarding education that we are only now beginning to realize ourselves.

Jews have never had any influence in a the american government.
Most people think this because of what happened in some historic american wars. The Jews at that time persuaded the leaders of the american government to let them 'help' or make some decisions and the government did, because the Jews kept bribing them with money if the americans said no. This event has stuck with loads of people eventhough it doesn't happen anymore.

Why doesnt the government tell us the truth about things?
They don't want to show you the truth because then they'd have a bad image of themselves, and they want us to think they are amazing, perfect, and always right. They also lie to us to "keep us safe".
yes
We have our own share of the guilt, though; we do not make good government easy. We demand change and that the government do the things that need doing. Then we protest and vote against the ones who dare try. If you doubt the truth of this (this is being written in mid March 2011) check the News for the phrase "collective bargaining". An attempt is being made to get rid of union featherbedding, at least a little. And the people are out in droves protesting the people who are trying to save the state's economy, as if featherbedding (and forcing people to join unions, or pay just as much as if they were in) were a civil right. One thing that they lie about is Food & Health.
