While there are many types of insects that suck human blood, there aren't any that eat the fat of living people. As for corpses, they can be eaten by many insects, but not just the fat.

Yes. Bedbugs may lay their eggs in somebody visiting's clothes, such as in a pocket or seam, or perhaps a live bedbug will crawl in there without the person knowing. When the person gets back to their own home and perhaps takes the clothes off and leaves them lying about, either the eggs will hatch or the live bug will try to find a new source of food. In either case it will smell the breath of somebody asleep and make for that bed, so that could mean the start of an infestation in that home.

Most assasin bugs lay their eggs in the autumn in cracks and crevices that contain lots of leaves. I'm not certain that this is always the case, but I heard that most caterpillars will go into a comatose state, as their body liquidates. They release a bunch of chemicals into the liquid caterpillar mixture which direct the reassembly process that ultimately results in a butterfly or moth.
