Are there such things as Norwegian Jackrabbits?
Jackrabbit is just another name for a hare.
"Jackrabbit" is an American term for hares. It originates from "jackass rabbits", which were featured in Mark Twain's book, "Roughing It", and later shortened to jackrabbit.
There is no such species called the "Norwegian Jackrabbit". However there are hares (aka jackrabbits) in Norway. Most notably European Haresand Mountain Hares.
Hares with "Jackrabbit" in their name are dominantly found in North America (United States, Canada and parts of Mexico), since that's where the term originates. These are the white-tailed jackrabbit, the antelope Jackrabbit and the black-tailed jackrabbit.
