You should not touch the area without gloves on. Never ever touch the rash with bare hands, as you may spread it, You should look for any lesions (cuts and tears). If there are cuts seek emergency treatment for infection/tetanus. If no cuts, keep clean. Apply calamine lotion to the area and take a benadryl tablet.
If you've recently began a new medication, discontinue it immediately and inform your prescribing doctor immediately.
