The only treatment that i know of is calamine lotion and benedryl. Calamine lotion now comes in clear which is really convenient. Also, isolating the rash and regular washing of the hands helps. Many times the hostile part of the weed, the fibers, get into shoes and may spread back to the hands when putting the shoes on. Pets and carpet may also carry it. What is morbilliform rash?

A morbiliform rash is a rash that resembles the type of rash that appears during a measles infection. Literally, morbiliform means "measles-like." It is a maculopapular rash that usually distributes symmetrically across the body. Maculopapular means that the rash has both elements of a macule and a papule. Saying it is a macule means that it is flat and well circumscribed and generally less than 1cm in diameter. Saying that it is a papule means that it is also solid and elevated above the rest of the skin. Classically we associate this kind of skin eruption with a reaction to taking a specific drug. Amoxicillin has been know to do this in a notable portion of the population.

Can X-rays of the chest cause a rash to the area?

What is this red itchy rash on your inner arm that spreads?

My first thought would be a plant-based irritating oil such as poison ivy or poison oak; however, this would be dependent upon you living in or visiting an area that has these plants in leaf. Other causes would be a chemical irritant that hasn't been washed off, a spreading bacterial infection or possibly some sort of allergic reaction. You could try some anti-itch cream or spray to see if that relieves the itching and the redness goes away - if it doesn't get noticeably better in a few days you should probably see an urgent care facility or your doctor.

Why do you have red blotchy itchy rash on lil bits of your face neck wrist im getting these everyday how can it be an allergic reaction when i havent been near to anything im allergic to?

Allergy is a possibility. Note that things you aren't allergic to today, after exposure, may light up a reaction tomorrow. There are other rashes that appear as you describe, but may not be an allergic sign. Also, there's the possibility of insect bites. If the onset of these is slow and contained -- they aren't growing fast and mocing everywhere, you might talk to your pharmacist about Benadryl (diphenhydramine) -- an antihistimine with few side effects (you'll be sleepy), lots of history, and good effectiveness. You can try coffee with Bennedryl, but it is not reccomended to take all the time. It can damage your liver with extended use. Try Claratin and get in to see a Dr. You may have missed something you are allergic to. You may have developed a new allergy.

It is also very possible you have more allergies than you are aware of. There are food, inhalant, chemical, mold, pollens, medications and cloth allergies these all can be an issue. Additionally there are skin conditions caused by internal problems.

You may seek homeopathic healing also.

My daughter has been on Ritalin for 8 days now has rash on face which gets puffy antihistamines and hydrocortisone prescribed was ineffective should she stop Ritalin?

I have been taking Ritalin myself for over ten years, so my advice may be helpful to you. I remember it took some time before my dose was 'just right' for me. The dose your daughter was given (in my opinion) was too high for her, thus the skin reaction. Let the prescribing doctor know the dosage was may have been too high and he/she will adjust the med accordingly or possibly try an alternative like Adderall or others. As for the rash, if it still persists, I would try the medication called elocon. This is the only medication that works for my daughter that has eczema. -Which, at times has related rash-like symptoms as you described. Just rub on a small amount to the area in need and it will vanish over-night. (At least that's what it does for my daughter!) I only use it on her 2-3 times a month when she is really bad. Good luck!

I'd concur. I've been taking Ritalin and Adderall, on and off, for over a decade. Try to persevere. Getting started on medication [which drug, dosage, etc.] will be the most difficult period. It's important to talk with your daughter's doctor about any problems she is having and work through them. Also it's important to remember that it can take several months for your daughter's body to acclimate to her medication. This is normal and side-effect will disappear with time.
