The cottage is not actually on Seil Island itself nor within comfortable walking distance as the film would suggest, however it is quite close by road. The cottage is called Tigh Beg Croft and is situated on the north shore of Loch Feochan, a few miles south of Oban, Those readers who have seen the film Enigma may also have spotted the cottage toward the end of the movie. The croft is owned by a company called Lagnakeil who have recently refurbished it as a holiday let (Yes, they do have a website). And yes, it is on private property.
