What will happen to the baby if you have x ray during 3 weeks pregnancy?

Well it really depends on what type of x ray you are talking about. If its a major one like a ct scan it may cause some difficulties, but not for certain. I work as a dental assistant, we take digital x rays every single day. My coworker didn't know she was pregnant and was exposing 100's of images on a daily basis. She delivered a very healthy baby boy with no complications. Usually if the x ray is the newer digital types you are getting almost zero radiation, I mean staying out in the sun all day you will receive more radiation than having some digital x rays taken, and pregnant women walk out in the sun all the time. Also, if you received an x ray you should have had some sort of lead covering on that would protect you and your baby from any extra scatter radiation that may have happened. Therefore, chances of your baby getting any radiation that could have harmed them from one x ray are slim.

MRI's do not use radiation.

Contribution of Wilhelm roentgen?

Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen (1845 - 1923) discovered X rays, for which he received the first Nobel Prize for physics in 1901. He observed that barium platinocyanide crystals across the room fluoresced whenever he turned on a Crooke's, or cathode-ray discharge, tube, even when the tube was shielded by thin metal sheets. Roentgen correctly hypothesized that a previously unknown form of radiation of very short wavelength was involved, and that these X rays (a term he coined) caused the crystals to glow. He later demonstrated the metallurgical and medical use of X rays which later brough a revolution the medical science..

It's not that one career is better than the other, it's a matter of which one satisfies your personal overall career goals and objectives. Why do you say 'an X-Ray' and not 'a X-Ray'?

Because the sound of X in English is that of a vowel sound. What this means is that you pronounce it "EX", with the sound of the "E" first.

Ergo, one says an "ex". It's actually logical in this case because it's more difficult to say "a ex" rather than "an ex".

After reviewing your x-ray of a tooth that had root canal 10 years ago an infection was discovered can this infection be treated with antibiotics as opposed to pulling the tooth?

It's possible, but the infection will most likely come back again. There is no telling when, but it will. A week, two years, no way to tell.

- You can also see an endodontist for a retreatment where the old filling material is removed and replaced or an Apicoectomy, where a small incision is made on through the gum and bone and the tip of the root is treated and resealed. -RDH

What school can I attend to become an X-Ray Tech in Temecula California?

My boyfriend went to school in Vista and he paid like 20000. If you are willing to drive to E Los Angeles there is an occupational school with the same class for like 2700. It's off morengo. I think the website is ELOC something. Anyways he can't find a job doing xrays. No one really wants a limited tech. They want someone fully licensed, which is like another 20000. He's making 10 an hour doing front office work. Choose carefully:)
