Can you be disqualified from a civil service job because you take Adderall?
No , as long as it was prescribed by a doctor. They may want to know the prescription number that is located on the bottle.
Will Adderall help me lose weight?
yes, but probly not the best way to go, no doubt it is unhealthy physically for u, but that is the least of ur concern. i have heard cases of ppl loseing 6 pounds over night or more, one of which is myself. but when u go through withdrawl, which u can't escape, and u have to face it sumtime, u will lose all intrest in loseing weight, adderal is dextroamphetamine, so the high is amazing but the low is pure hell, no question, u will be a totally different person, but it also depends on how much u take too, my estimate with my self is 10mg of adderal equals one pound over night, this doesn't include activity, and 10 mg withdrawl isn't so bad.
Will 12.5 mg of Adderall be detected in a urine drug test 4 days after taking the drug?
I'm not a doctor, but I would say with 99% certainty, no.
Adderall has a mean half life of 10-12 hours. This means that about 10-12 hours after you take it, at least half of the dose has been metabolized. You won't still feel the medication working 10-12 hours after you take it, but it remains in your system.
12.5 milligrams is a relatively small dose, and as long as you're eating and drinking and living your life normally in those four days, it's most likely not going to be detectable in your system unless they are testing specifically for even trace amounts of amphetamines (active ingredient in adderall)
I'd say if you were nervous about it, drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and get plenty of vitamin C...orange juice is the best, because the citric acids neutralize amphetamines quickly, so it may or may not be helpful in "cleaning" your system out.
Hope I could help, but if you're really concerned and need definite answers, i'd call a pharmacist or doctor, or just do some research online. (if it's wiki you'll want to check the sources) good luck..
Mixing adderall tablets and extended release capsules?
Well depending on the mg of the aderall tablet, Youll most likely be feelin reeeally good. I get the 30 mg adderall tab and have mixed with a 30 mg XR capsule. Prettyyy awesome.
As far as parenting goes... I'm not too sure about that one. If you are taking your child's medication that's pretty $hitty of you, but otherwise I dont suppose it would affect your ability to parent, if not possibly increase it. It doesn't make you feel depressed when you are experiencing the drugs effects per se, but it will cause depression and anxiety upon withdrawl. It does in fact lighten your mood, make you feel a little bit better, give you increased energy amounts, and even decrease appetite, but don't forget it can become highly addictive.
What effect does Adderall have on cortisol levels?
Adderall usually raises cortisol levels. Most substances or experiences which trigger fight or flight type responses like stimulants will do this. ADHD and other illness that are treated by Adderall are thought to involve disruptions in the HPA axis. For most real ADHD sufferers this increase in cortisol is thought to cause improvement in symptoms and it is rare that someone without abnormal adrenal function experiences high cortisol (Cushing's) symptoms.
You have been put on adderall how soon can you see changes?
adderall is a pharmaceutical stimulant called amphetamine (salts). unlike certain medications like SSRI's for depression, which take quite a few weeks to have a significant effect, amphetamines work instantaneously on mind and body. therefore, as soon as an individual begins taking adderall, behavior should change dramatically as soon as 30 minutes after the first dose. however, amphetamines have a relatively short chemical half life (12-24 hours), and the psychotropic effects wear off anywhere between 4 and 12 hours, depending on the individual, so if the medication proves beneficial, doses should be continued and adjusted accordingly, but if the side effects are too much for the individual to handle, it wears off fairly quickly and there are no serious side effects from stopping adderall after starting it.
How can you compare all characteristics of adderall xr vivanse xr and Dexedrine phamacoligically?
Adderall XR, Vyvanse XR, and Dexedrine are all stimulant medications used to treat ADHD, but they differ in their pharmacological properties. Adderall XR is a mixture of amphetamine salts, providing a combination of immediate and extended release effects. Vyvanse XR (lisdexamfetamine) is a prodrug, meaning it must be metabolized into its active form, providing a smoother and longer duration of action with a lower potential for abuse. Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) consists of a single isomer of amphetamine and is often considered to have a more potent effect with fewer side effects compared to the mixed amphetamine salts in Adderall.
some people respond this way to slow release add meds. you can get more consistent results taking 5 mg of non slow release 6 times a day but is it worth the hassle?

How do I get my doctor to prescribe phentermine?

Here are the side effects of taking Adderall:
Do not use Adderall if you have any of the following conditions:
Never take Adderall within 14 days of taking an antidepressant classified as an MAO inhibitor, including phenelzine sulfate. A potentially life-threatening spike in blood pressure could result.
Your doctor will not prescribe Adderall if you have ever had a reaction to similar stimulant drugs. The doctor will also avoid prescribing Adderall if you appear agitated or are prone to substance abuse.
If you have even a mild case of high blood pressure, take Adderall with caution. Be careful, too, about driving or operating machinery until you know how Adderall affects you. It may impair judgment and coordination.
Adderall can make tics and twitches worse. If you or a family member has this problem (or the condition called Tourette's syndrome), make sure the doctor is aware of it. Amphetamines such as Adderall have also been known to aggravate symptoms in seriously disturbed (psychotic) individuals.
If the problem is attention-deficit disorder, the doctor will do a complete history and evaluation before prescribing Adderall, taking particular account of the severity of the symptoms and the age of your child. If the problem is a temporary reaction to a stressful situation, Adderall is probably not called for.
At present, there has been no experience with long-term Adderall therapy in children. However, other amphetamine-based medications have been known to stunt growth, so your doctor will need to watch the child carefully.
If your child has a heart condition, an amphetamine like Adderall should generally not be used. Sudden death has been reported with amphetamine treatment in children with heart problems.
Warning signs of a massive overdose include convulsions and coma. Symptoms of Adderall overdose may include:
Abdominal cramps, assaultiveness, changes in blood pressure, confusion, diarrhea, hallucinations, heightened reflexes, high fever, irregular heartbeat, nausea, panic, rapid breathing, restlessness, tremor, vomiting
If you suspect an overdose, seek emergency treatment immediately.
Does red bull enhance the effects of adderall?
my daughter takes aderall and drank a red bull and it resulted in a seizure where she fell backwards and cracked her head open so it does have quite an effect and red bull doesnt give you wings

I don't know what exactly is in red bull except obviously caffeine which actually completely eliminates the effects of adderall.
"I don't know what exactly is in red bull except obviously caffeine which actually completely eliminates the effects of adderall. "
This is completely nonfactual, and simply untrue.
Caffeine's interaction with Adderall is classified as "Additive". If you mix stimulants (d-amphet & caffeine are both stimulants) you will always get an additive interaction.
Also, Red Bull contains the following ingredients which are known to produce the interaction classification of "Additive" when used in conjunction with "Dextro-Amphetamine's"
The only ingredients which may contribute to the negation of Detro-Amphetamine's effects are:
However, I know from personal experience that combining Red Bull and Dextro-Amphetamine's will result in an intensely additive effect.
Always be careful!
Most definately! It does depend on your age, though. If your still in high school, then absolutely! If you study you make good grades, your parents will be proud of you, and you get to go to a good college and get a good job like a docter or some sort of physician so you can be rich for the rest of your life, haha.
If your older, and you feel like you should continue studying, by all means do so! Knowlegde is power, so don't you want to be powerful? Haha.. No, if you go back to college when your in your 40's or whatever, you will seem more educated and might get a better job, so you can pay for your kids' college. It's a pattern... you go to college to get a good job, so you can have kids and pay for their good college for their good jobs, so they can pay for their kids' college's so they can get good jobs, and on and on and on.
All so you can pay taxes to the government your whole life(because out of the 12 months of the year that you work, 6 months of that goes to taxs)... it's their set up, like a hamster wheel. And guess what? We're the helpless hamsters that have to follow society wheather we like it or not. If we turn our backs on society? Then we get smushed by all the other hamsters running around in the wheel of life... haha I should write a book or something.
Can you mix Adderall and zanex taking low doesage Adderall in the morning and a zanex before bed?
Yes. My doctor has prescribed me vyvanse (newer version of ADHD drug, similar to Adderol, but last 12 hours and better on your heart), as well as .5mg xanax, 3 a day. So since my phychiatrist prescibes this to me and I am monitored monthly, I would believe this is a safe combination. I am to take my vyvanse and one .5 xanax in morning. and 2 .5 xanax before bed.
What do I do if Adderall causes a rapid heartbeat?
Switch to cocaine instead. Same rapid heart beat, cooler doctor. Switch to cocaine instead. Same rapid heart beat, cooler doctor. Adderall has very significant risks associated with it. In adults it can cause stroke and heart attack. Therefore, call your doctor.

What should you do if your child starts having tics or twitching from Adderall XR?
My 11 year old was taking Rivotril and another substance that her neurologist had recommended when he first had an eye twitching tic. He continued taking these from that onset, 3 months. It`s been almost a year since then and he has slowly stopped twitching his eyes, without any drops. Hence, stop all contact with the substance and look for an alternative is my best advice. Unless it is a counterpart of the drug and you must weigh the benefits.
Addition to ...
From what I have read, it is more common than not for people with ADD/ADHD to also have tics, and/or several other disorders, regardless of medication. It may just be coincidence that the tics are becoming evident while your child is taking adderall, and stopping it would not stop the tics. Be sure your child's doctor specializes in ADD or ADHD. In addition to your doctor, pharmacists can be a wealth of information when it comes to medications and their side effects.
