^ The above is a terrible answer and should be taken serious. Who ever posted this must not be in full addiction to whatever drug they are snorting. First off, just nose bleeds and not being able to smell are two very minor problems when it comes to snorting drugs. I am not a doctor, I am an addict who is trying to get better but I'm not your average addict in that I do a lot of researcher, am attempting to get a degree (not going well due to my addiction) and read a lot on subjects I'm interested in. I have studied natural health for 7 years now and snorting drugs, besides being a waste of the drug (in terms of pills/prescription meds), it damages the lungs significantly, of course it damages your sinus cavity and then of course any use of drugs damages the body immensely. How anyone can promote drug use and snorting is ignorant and has not fallen completely into the addiction. Because I do not have an addictive personality normally, it took me about 8 years or more to become an everyday user when it comes to pain meds. I feel in love and had a mental addiction almost immediately but I was able to have control over it for the first decade almost but it took me staying home all day to start using it more frequently and then to the everyday and there is NOTHING fun about it, NOTHING!! I mean that with every sense of the word. I don't enjoy the high anymore, if I even get high. I need so much of it, it costs me a rent payment just for a few days of being well. I need it to function or else I'm not happy and extremely sick. My life has gone nowhere and I'm extremely depressed and the pills don't even help anymore. It was the ultimate trap, with the facade that having all day access to the pills would be the ultimate life and I would have fun and be happy, only to find out that it would make my life so miserable it's too much to bare. But now its too late, I'm trapped, if I stop I'm sick for days if not a week, and when that is through, then it's months of hopeless depression boarding on suicidal, with no energy or motivation to do anything. The mental addiction is the hardest if not impossible to beat now and if there is a Satan, then this is his ultimate drug. It lures you in with the appeal of not feeling any emotions and fake happiness and once you are in, you are in for good and you no longer are happy and nothing in life will bring you joy, not even the drug you gave up your life for. Please, for anyone reading this, do not listen to the niavity of people who make careless comments like this comment above mine. If you are not physcially addicted yet and completely trapped, stop now. I know it is the hardest time to stop because you get the most joy at this stage of the addiction but I promise you, I give you my word of honor and will bet you any amount of money you can think of, it does not turn out well and you will only regret and be miserable. To get out of the end stage I'm in, is worse than surving the epocolypse. Most people in my stage of addiction never make it out, only die. Do not let yourself get there. It is not fun at all. You can only get so high and eventually you do run out of the good feelings it use to produce.

You have a form of paraphilia, an unusual attraction (almost always sexual in nature) to odd objects. While harmless in inself, you would do well to speak with a professional about it, as it is an issue that will undoubtedly cause you many problems and a lot of embarrassment later in life.

In my opinion, an addiction is any activity which you do on a considerably higher level than others, which you can't cease even when others are bother by it and even when it does damage to any area of your life, when it alters your behavior in any way and when you tend to prioritize it above every other thing present in your life.

Depending on your sucking style, that is, the angle of your thumb, the length of time sucking per day, the intensity, and length of time for your habit in years, you may or may not have any affects. The worst case scenario for active, intense thumb suckers is an open bite where the top and lower teeth do not overlap in the resting, postural position and/or some overjet, otherwise called "buckteeth". The best case scenario is no dental affects and a very calm disposition because thumb sucking has been proven to reduce tension and to even raise the levels of dopamine, a natural, body produced hormone, that elicits good internal feelings. The great majority of thumb suckers have no to minimal dental affects.

It usually dissolves completely within five minutes, but if they have been on a shelf for awhile can take up to 10 minutes. Suboxone should only be taken sublingually(dissolved under tongue), if not taken this way it is virtually ineffective.

I was presrcibed phentermine today and I am also on suboxone. The doctor said it is ok to take as long as I go to the doctor every two weeks for a checkup. I did some research and phentermine is a controlled substance in the U.S., it is legal here and its also an anphentamine which means it's easilly addictive. If your on suboxone for being addicted to something else, your doctor will probably have a hard time giving it to you. That is why I have to go every two weeks for a check up. They are ok to take together but there are major side effects. Some people have arymthia's in their heart.. including sinus arythmya, which taking phentermine with an arythmia can be deadly. I would suggest getting and EKG before taking phentermine to make sure you dont have one!I know there are people who would take phentermine without a doctors knowledge and I would highly suggest NOT doing it!! Def, get checked by a doctor first to make sure you wont have complications!! I am not a doctor, but this is the information I was told! So please see a doctor before taking phentermine alone, yet again while taking suboxone at the same time!!

Heroin is psychologically addictive because it produces desirable feelings and emotions in the user, and also because when the user is physically addicted, they will become physically sick if they do not have their dose. They develop an aversion to doing without because of this.

The way you can tell if someone is on drugs is if they come to work and their hair looks a mess or if they get down on thae floor and start quivering.

That's not always true--quite a few drugs don't make someone lose interest in grooming or start quivering. There are four things that are almost always a giveaway:

1. Major changes in the person's social circle.

2. Unexplained changes in the person's financial situation.

3. Significant changes in behavior.

4. Changes in grooming, dress or appearance.

I know, I know, a drug addict is supposed to shun all his old friends, need a ton of money right now, start screwing up at work and look like a dirtbag. That's not always true. This is a camouflaging tactic--"If I become a great person outwardly no one will notice I've started shooting heroin."

No, suboxone cannot get into your system by touching it. This drug has to mix with your saliva or it won't be effective. You place it under your tongue for about 5 to 10 minutes until it dissolves.

The only way to take Suboxone is to dissolve it under your tongue. Swallowing it won't work, because it won't dissolve in your stomach. And don't even think about crushing it up and snorting it or smoking it; it simply does not work that way. You can do that with heroin, and it sort of works with Vicodin and oxycodone, but not with Suboxone.

Furthermore, the maximum amount of Suboxone you can take at one time is 32 milligrams (four 8-mg pills). Taking any more than that will have no effect, so don't even try: it's just a waste of expensive medication.

It depends on several different factors: how much suboxone you took, how long have you been taking it, and if you only took a suboxone once between taking pills: how high your tolerance is to oxycodone.

If you only took one dose of suboxone (between 2mg and 8mg) you should be able to feel the full effect of the OC after 24 hours. After about 12 hours you'll feel some effects, but definitely not what you would normally expect from 30mg of OC. If you've been taking Suboxone for several days in a row, it would be difficult to guage how long it will take for you to feel the full effects. Suboxone has a 36 hour half life so it builds up in your system. The longer you take it and the higher the dose, the longer it will take for it to leave your system completely.

That is why there is a war, instead of organized, mandatory treatment for addicts. It is also why we do not have legalized drugs -- except for alcohol, the worst one of all, and its little buddy nicotine.

A psychological addiction is a mental craving for a certain drug and can even be described as an overwhelming obsession with the drug and the feelings that result from the usage of that drug.

It occurs as conscious thought and choices lead us to stimulate the pleasure centers. The subconscious mind is stimulated by these pleasures and motivates the person to repeat these acts for pleasure. If it is not satisfied, the subconscious creates a craving for the pleasure producing substances or acts, and this creates a physical obligation. Psychological addictions last a lifetime. An alcoholic always considers himself an alcoholic because he knows he is just one drink away from being an alcoholic again, the same for other addictive substances and drugs.
