As far as I know Citalopram is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) not a barbiturate.

When pills expire, all that happens is they start to lose their effectiveness slowly. There is no danger in taking expired pills, they could possibly just not work as well. It usually takes years after expiration for pills to lose significant effectiveness though.

Nothing! Im on lexapro(an SSRI) and i smoke weed as well. I also had smoked it before i was put on lexapro. I dont notice much different in smoking now and smoking before. If anything the highs are stronger and it seems to boost the effectiveness of the lexapro. But it wont hurt you, it might trigger anxiety attacks at the worst.

Not to good when I'm feeling the side effect of drowsiness. When I don't feel that effect I guess I feel the same as I did before I started taking it. I've been taking it for nearly a month now by the way.

The trick to killing yourself is to mix it with other pills. But most importantly you must include alcohol. It will put you into a deep sleep. Make sure if you are going to do it plan it out. You do not want loved ones around you when you do it. Ive tried a whole bottle of xanax about 15 years ago. Didnt work . I've also tried just citropram this past year. Didn't work. Last week I mixed it up with other pills and wine. I fell into a deep sleep. I didn't have enough citropram, Now I do. I'm planning my next time and this time I will do it right. I've talked with god and realize that I will go to hell but I am ok with that. I am in hell now. A cheating husband who doesn't make money to pay the bills. I have a nice life insurance policy and this will be the last time I can help him out. I pray my daughter will forgive me. God Bless anyone who reads this. Think before you act.

I suffer from a condition called Fibromyalgia which causes widespread pain throughout the body. As a result of that I am on a regimine of painkillers such as vicodin and oxicontin. In addition I do suffer from depression from my condition and am also taking wellbutrin, xanax, and paxal. I have notice a genuine turnaround in my mood and am a much happier person since starting these meds and have noticed no adverse effects with my pain meds. Put be sure to always consult your own doctor first and good luck!

It is best to consult a physcian or just ask a reliable pharmacist on what OTC sleep aids they would recommend. I would suggest not taking medical advice from anyone other then these two possible individuals.

Yes. I am on 60mg cymbalta and 1-2mg Klonopin daily. I have no adverse reactions and in fact, my anxiety is at an all time low, no panic attacks, and I'm no longer depressed. This combo works wonders for me!

Yes. They are from different drug classes and have different effects. Wellbutrin is an anti-depressant of the Dopamine Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor class. Ativan is an anxyolitic drug and is a benzodiazepine. I use this combination - wellbutrin daily, and ativan as needed for anxiety and insomnia. It works well.

Update: I must disagree with the answer above (whoever wrote it). If you look up Bupropion (a.k.a. Wellbutrin) on Wikipedia, then scroll down to "Contraindications", it states clearly that Wellbutrin should not be taken with any type of benzodiazepine (which is what Lorazepam - a.k.a. Ativan - is). So you should absolutely talk this over with a doctor instead of asking the internet. You might just get an "I don't see why not" guess from someone who may not truly know the answer. Bottom line - talk to your doctor before taking those two together!

The best way to lose weight regardless of the medications you are on is to eat a healthy diet free of fattening and junk foods and exercise regularly. If you are having a difficult time losing the weight, you may want to keep a stricter watch on what you are eating and perhaps exercise more.

While most people lose weight on Lexapro and it is supposed to be completely weight neutral, all pharmaceuticals affect each individual differently, so it is certainly possible that it could result in some people gaining weight. Perhaps you should talk to your doctor and get his or her recommendations.

There is no equivalency between Wellb. and Prozac, they work different neurotransmitter systems.

Well, I'm only 5'2" and about 96 lbs and i just popped three bars. I've done six bars in one night before and didn't die/feel crappy/wreck a car/etc. Depends on your tolerance I suppose. When i first started, I always took one bar and was cool. My first time on two just made me sooooo sleepy and out of it. plus, you can't remember anything the next day.

No, anti-depressants are NOT opiates. Opiates include morphine, percocet, vicodin(hydrocodone), oxycodone(oxycontin), fentynal, roxycodone, methadone, suboxone or subutex, oxy and hydromorhphone, codeine, ect..

I went to the doctor today and she prescribed me prednisone for my severe eczema and since I am currently on Prozac I asked her if it was safe to take both at once and she said yes. But you should check with your own Dr. to be on the safe side.

My neurologist prescribed both Tegretol and Topamax at the same time to prevent my debilitating headaches along with Effexor. It wasn't intentional, but we were adding medications, and planning to slowly discontinue the other later. Neither Topamax alone nor Tegretol alone had any benefit for relieving my horrible headaches. 8 day headaches that were constant and ruining my life. When I take both drugs together, along with the Effexor (I'm not sure I have to keep taking the Effexor, but I and my doctors don't want to change everything around too quickly.) Anyway, I appear to have no negative side effects from combining Tegretol and Topamax. Both certainly make my sleepy and I need more sleep than most people, but I have my life back, in that my waking hours are now happy and almost fully pain-free!! A complete blessing. Even my doctor doesn't understand it.

As far as I know you can take recommended doses of Aspirin while taking Wellbutrin.Wellbutrin is usually prescibed for depression,and sometimes for helping people to stop smoking(Called Zomig for smoking cessation). Aspirin is an anti-inflammatory,pain reliever.There should not be any drug interactions with the 2 of them,but to err on the side of caution you can call a pharmacist to be 100% sure.

I can only answer anecdotally. It appears that Wellbutrin & Zyrtec do react when used together. When my Wellbutrin got up'd to 300mg (I also take 100mg of Zoloft), the Zyrtec made me incredibly sleepy to the point where I felt drugged & would not have felt comfortable driving a car. Normally Zyrtec does not make me sleepy even when I was on 150mg of Wellbutrin with 100mg of Zoloft or on 200mg of Zoloft alone. I will keep taking the Zyrtec but will take it before bed now. If you need to take both, I strongly suggest trying when you have nothing to do & nowhere to go.

You can. It is not advisable though, since it can cause an increased risk of heart attack and/or seizures. Also, cocaine could potentially effect the condition/symptoms that lead to you being prescribed the SSRIs (i.e. worsening of depression, an increase in anxiety, etc).
