What jobs does an associates degree in anthropology prepare you for?
Getting an associates in Anthropology should take 2 years, the same as any associates degree. However, because you will not select an area to focus on (Linguistics, Cultural Anthropology, Physical Anthropology or Archaeology) until you begin work on your bachelors degree, an associates degree will probably not be particularly useful in obtaining a job in the field.
== You would be able to get certified to work on archaeological digs as a field archaeologist (aka shovel bum), but it would generally be better to get the degree and a Masters if you want to work in analyzing what is found or in research. The Army also hires anthropologists.

How to ask a boy out when what if your in 4th grade and nine years old?
Well there are lots of ways to do this. If he is your friend you could start a convincing conversation. e.g. :
Girl: "Well, you're my friend, right?"
Boy: "Well, sure!"
Girl: "And we've been friends for a while, right?"
Boy: "Well, sure!"
Girl: "Then will you go out with me, PPLLLEEAASSSEEE?!?!"
Boy "*ANSWER PENDING APPROVAL*"...
..Or, if he says no, admit you have a crush on him and that he has broken your heart or whatever. At your age, this should'nt happen, but sometimes you just can't help it when you're dying to ask that special person out.
If you're a little shy with actually asking him out, try to ask him what kind of a girl he likes, or even ask him if he liked his past girlfriends (if he had any.) If he says he likes any particular girl, you could try being a little like her. You could hang around with her and be friends with her. Just a tip, doesn't neciccerily mean it will work =p
If you're not friends with him, try and be friends with him!! Take an interest in what he likes. Have conversations that will bring you together. And, when the time comes, ask him if you can talk to him in private or find somewhere alone. Now, if you have the guts, tell him you really like him and that it would be a pleasure in your case to go out with him.
You could maybe even ask a friend you trust (i.e your best friend) to go up and ask for you, or ask him if he likes you.
Hope this helps! :) I'm 11 and learn from my experiences. Darling, as you get older, you'll understand this a lot more. And make that big moment special. Always make it special :)
First, they are two extremes within the same field. A physical therapist assistant is a two year associate degree, while a physical therapist must have the minimum of a master's degree in physical therapy, and that may soon change to a doctorate. How many credits will transfer to the associate degree will depend on which courses you complete within your bachelor's degree. For instance, have you completed human anatomy and physiology I and II? These two course alone would take one academic year if you take them within the two regular academic semesters because of the sequential nature of the courses. Thus, how long it would take depends on the courses already completed, which courses were completed, and whether you have all the prerequisite coursework completed in terms of even applying to the master's program, which would take approximately two to three years to complete. Lastly, please understand, that some students feel they can take the physical therapy assistant program and use that as a lead-in to the physical therapist program. Nothing you complete within the associate program (even the professional phase courses) will apply to the master's program.
Is a certificate or degree required to be a travel agent?
The following is written by and according to the U.S. Department of Labor and particular to the education and training required for travel agents.
Employers prefer to hire travel agents who have formal training in this field. Superb communication and computer skills are essential for talking with clients and making travel reservations.
Education and training. Most travel agencies prefer applicants who have received training specific to becoming a travel agent. Many vocational schools offer full-time travel agent programs. Travel agent courses also are offered in public adult education programs, online, and in community colleges. These programs teach students about geography, sales, marketing, and travel industry forms and procedures for ticketing and reservations.
A few colleges offer a bachelor's or master's degree in travel and tourism that can benefit prospective agents. Backgrounds in geography, foreign languages, or world history can also be useful for job applicants because they suggest an existing interest in travel and culture, which could help agents develop a rapport with clients.
Continuing education is critical for travel agents because the abundance of travel information readily available through the Internet and other sources has resulted in more informed consumers who expect travel agents to be experts in their field.
Other qualifications. Travel agents must be well-organized, accurate, and detail oriented in order to compile information from various sources and to plan and organize travel itineraries. Agents must have excellent communication skills and must be professional and courteous when dealing with travel representatives and clients.
Personal travel experience is an asset because knowledge about a city or foreign country often helps influence a client's travel plans. Business experience or training is important for self-employed agents who run their own business. In addition, computer skills are necessary and essential, because most travel arrangements are now made using the Internet or electronic reservation systems.
Certification and advancement. Some employees start as reservation clerks or receptionists in travel agencies. With experience and some formal training, they can take on greater responsibilities and eventually assume travel agent duties. In agencies with many offices, travel agents may advance to busier offices or to office manager or other managerial positions.
Those who start their own agencies generally have experience in an established agency. These agents must gain formal approval from suppliers or corporations, such as airlines, ship lines, or rail lines, to extend credit on reservations and to ensure payment. The Airlines Reporting Corporation and the International Airlines Travel Agency Network, for example, are the approving bodies for airlines. To gain approval, an agency must be financially sound and employ at least one experienced manager or travel agent.

Take many course or one course?
It depends on you as an individual. If you feel apprehensive, or have been out of school for a length of time, you can start as a part-time student with one or two courses. There is nothing wrong in this. This will give you time to adjust to higher education, increase your confidence, etc. Then you can build up from there. The next semester you can take more course as feels comfortable to you. It's better to start slow, and build up later then to start with too much and become overwhelmed. If this is your first semester and you have not decided on a college, the community college would be a great place the start.
I'm not exactly sure what kind of good paying job that you could get but I would recommend visiting salary.com and looking into the 30000-40000 salary range and seeing if your job fits in there. Also do a search on yahoo for jobs in that field and a website that's like stats.bls.gov will come up and it has the occupational outlook handbook. That is a good website and tells all of the top jobs and what degrees are required for each. .
Getting experience in the tech industry has become a catch 22. You need solid experience to get a job that will give you solid experience to get a job. In my opinion the tech industry has been making a shift over the past few years to wieghing experience against education in a more practical way that benefits corporations. If you can afford to get a year or two of experience as a tech at a small company, it can benefit you with practical experience; you can quickly become a "Jack of all Trades". You will most likely be fitted for a specific job at a larger company but the trade-off is it looks better on a resume. So to answer you question, you can get a good job with a good salary if you are willing to sacrifice a couple of years of mediocre pay. Companies look for stability in an employee as well as experience. This is especially true in the tech industry due to it's very nature. Being a "specialist" is where the real money is. Choose .net programming or Cisco routers. These are stable, niche markets that will always have a job available with great pay. The degree will help as well. You may also want to get your certification in a certain area. This often carries as much or more weight than a degree. Look on Monster or computerjobs. You can see what employers are looking for. Good Luck
