A teen mom will spend as much as a regular mom. This is because of the baby's basic needs. I (mother of two) usually spend $15,000 a year on EACH child a year after I factor food, clothes, doctors, ect... There are ways to cut it down but I wouldn't think it would be less then $10,000 a year...

Why does a newborn baby cry as soon as it is out of the womb?
The reason is, the doctor cuts the umbilical cord which, until birth, had been supplying the child's needs. In the womb, a fluid environment, the child's lungs became filled with this fluid. The child expels the fluid by coughing and crying at birth.
More Information:
This coughing and crying is often induced immediately after birth to force exercise of the lungs and to assure proper lung function.
*Incredible changes take place at the time of birth. From living in a liquid environment and being supplied by an umbilical cord, to surviving independently in a gaseous (air) environment. At birth, it is the first time the lungs have taken in air, they have to stretch, contract, and expand getting used to functioning fully in air.
*The heart had used a bypass for blood to the lungs, in the womb. The bypass has to suddenly seal up and work properly, for the lungs to be of use. When this bypass does not seal properly, it gives rise to the hole-in-the-heart condition.

What color eyes does a newborn baby have?
Healthy babies often have maroon or magenta shades of red in their irises. This is no cause for concern because the babies eye color changes within a few hours of delivery.
In some ancient cultures it was believed that those born directly with a differing eye color such as blue or green were evil and marked as a child from Hades and the child had to be drowned by the father before another child could be conceived. It was also often thought that if a woman could not conceive again, then they had disobeyed the law and hidden their child in safety, so the couple was banished from the village if it was known that the woman had become infertile. Otherwise the villagers feared punishment from Hades if they allowed disobedience.

its quite simple really. the baby will inevitably die. your skin is in place to protect your muscles and organs from infection.

How long can you carry you baby before they have to induce labor?
They will not induce your labor unless your water breaks or you have a serious health condition anytime before 38 weeks. Usually for a normal pregnancy they will wait until 41 or 42 weeks. If you go any later than that, personally I think you should demand to be induced because you baby is being put at risk staying in there that long. The plancenta begins to deteriorate and the oxygen supply is cut down.

I would say that it is generally unsafe to ride a horse during the third trimester of pregnancy. Premature deliveries are risky for a baby.
First test tube baby in India?
MUMBAI: A country's pride has been restored 27 years after the pioneer hanged himself in shame, having failed to convince his colleagues of his achievement. The international scientist community is now accepting Dr Subhas Mukhopadhyay's claim and recognising India for producing the world's second test-tube baby. Now, his story is being included in the prestigious five-volume Dictionary of Medical Biography published by the US-based Greenwood Printers.
The 2006 edition will have a section on Dr Mukhopadhyay, Helen Bynum, editor, said. Dr Indira Choudhury, professor at the TIFR, is compiling the biography. "I cannot explain how happy I am," said Kanupriya Agarwal alias Durga, the girl who was brought into the world by the doctor. An MBA from Symbiosis Institute, Pune, Agarwal says her greatest joy is that the achievement is finally being recorded in a reputed international publication. "All this while I was silent as I wanted permanent recognition for him, not just verbal assurances," she said New Delhi. "Now, with the ICMR and this publication, I feel justice has been done to my scientific dad." Both Dr Mukhopadhyay and British scientists Robert G Edwards and Patrick Steptoe - creators of the world's first test-tube baby - started work at the same time. The Indian baby was born on October 3, 1978, just 67 days after Marie Louise Brown was born. The ICMR recently acknowledged that Dr Mukhopadhyay was the creator of India's first test-tube baby. But he was prevented from carrying out further work on in vitro fertilisation and transferred away from Kolkata. He was also prevented from going to Tokyo to present a paper. Frustrated and in failing health, Mukhopadhyay killed himself on June 19, 1981.
